We think the head gasket has failed on my brothers A3. Its a sport turbo but it has forged internals and BAM ancillaries such as Ko4 etc, around 240bhp but he has future plans to take it to around 300bhp.

Would a standard Audi head gasket do the job or would an upgraded MLS one be better?

Is there any other jobs worth doing whilst its off, such as thermostat and timing belt?

Cheers

Head gaskets don't usually go on these mate as I found out in January, thought the gasket was away, got the head removed, gasket was fine, head was cracked between 2 of the inlet valves, so I advise to get the head pressure tested!
