Booked up for Sat 12th November
Still places left
Run by a great bunch, not the usual 'hot hatch' events.

Would be good to see some more Audis out !
Local Lad Jock will be out in his 400hp b5 S4

excellent John!
At least it's in the right direction for a change.
I've spent this year going the wrong way round knockhill.

I'm sure I have more than 400 horses in there somewhere

I'll be there on 8th Oct 9-11 for another really well-org'd track day - SIDC. Check their website as there may be places available.
Usually there are 20-odd lotuses and a bunch of misfits like myself.
Passengers ride for free.

Put the S4 through her paces on Sat,
excellent event as usual.

Big thanks Jock, mainly for reminding me to do a cool down lap
and for having some spare fuel, the v8 really drinks when running flat out.
Thanks mate

So first impressions of the old bus, pretty good really, I was impressed on how well the standard car coped with punishment of Knockhill, suspension felt good and although she under-steered it was easily managed, but I guess you just get used to driving 4wd cars with the engine up front.
The un-surprising issue with brakes was my fault as I decided to use standard pads and although I did get a new set of drilled and grooved disks from M-tec this set up was very poor, having to break much earlier than hoped.

Anny hoo, the old girl did well and although she is a motorway muncher I managed a time of 1min 6sec which I thought was ok with cheepo Falken tyres. I am sure if I really tried and with a good set of tyres and a clear run my old b6 would get round in a few seconds under that.

So after this whats needed ?, well the brake warning light came on late in the day (poss a ABS sensor) the near side lower arms are shot and the tyres are rather scrubbed.

Will try to get a vid up.

My friend was up in his Corrado, white in colour, he's on here as he has a Misano RS4 too.

Here's a vid of me chasing down John Gell in his Jiapur Red B5 (with a good 50 BHP over me) and Eddy in his B6. There's a few laps of me flying in front of my pals' GTR before I let him past and we catch Eddy sideways at the hairpin.

Great vid... my car was doing pretty good up the straights, just unfortunately runs out of grip and I run out of talent through the corners... hopefully get more practice next year...
