Hi Guys,

After 10 years of B5 ownership I have finally decided to go for a B8 S4, I have been contemplating whether to go for the B7 RS4 or even a C6 RS6 but found a S4 that I could not refuse.

Picking her up next Saturday from the main dealer, I have never driven or been in a B8 before so lets just hope I am happy with her

That's a fair commitment, cant believe you bought a car without even driving a similar one!!

Whats the spec?

I know, you can call me mad but the car is based in Huddersfield and I'm in Essex (250 miles away), it's at a main dealer hence why I went for it.

S4 Avant (2009)
ADS with Quattro Sports Diff
Super Sports Seats
19" wheels
Dvd Navigation with MMi
Panoramic Sunroof
Servotronic power Steering
Intelligent Key+ loads more

Read just good things about the B8 and this avant just looks superb

Sounds good, colour?

You wont be disappointed and as you say if its main dealer you will have a years warranty etc with it.

I did exactly the same thing. Had a Noggy B5 for 10 years and thought it was time for a change. The power delivery on the B8 is much more linear than the B5 and with the S-tronic box it can make for quite lazy driving but when you drop it down a couple of gears and boot it, man it's intoxicating, especially with the fart from the exhaust on up changes. I love it to bits. it's in this week for a RS4 honeycombe grill fitting.

I really hope I like it, I still love the B5 and in 2 minds whether to keep her or pass her on. Only time will tell, if I really like the B8 then the B5 may need to go
