Since starting AudiSRS just over 3 years ago we decided that along with all the technical, nerdy, humorous and other types of things that go on in a forum that we should be active in creating more than that.

We arrange / attend many events during the year bringing together many people from all walks of life with one thing in common ... Audi's. But this also means we get to know people first hand, not just from behind a keyboard.

It is for this reason that we decided it was a good thing to try and raise a bit of money for worthy causes. Up to now that has been charities. I don't have the figures to hand but I think to date we have raised in the region of 5K.

Thanks to all those that have taken part, helped or donated. I think it's something to be proud of.

For the next 12months we are turning out attention to an individual little girl who's the daughter of a forum member. We are making a commitment to raise 2000+ to go towards helping her get to America for a life changing operation.

Quote:
My name is Karis Ferguson,

My website has been setup to help raise awareness and hopefully generate enough support and donations to help me get to America, to have a life changing procedure which will make my legs work better.

Please have a look around the site, to find out further information about my condition and the operation.

http://sdr4karis.org

We have setup our own appeal page HERE with a fancy little graphic showing the fundraising progress.

Throughout the year we will be doing different things to help get money in the pot for her. The amount we are trying to raise is small compared to the amount she needs so if we can smash the 2K target even better.

We realise here that paypal charges are a pain so once we hit a gross value of 2000 we will take the net value in the paypal account and make it up to the full 2000.

Please take a look at her website and if you would like to make a donation do it though our page HERE

Also, spread the word, friends, family, other forums ... lets see how quickly we can reach our target.

Thanks

Sadly, not being a registered charity we are a bit screwed on the tax front as well as the charges.

Huge thanks and appreciation for the donations guys!
This sort of generosity is very humbling for us.

I've updated the Thanks page on my site with all the donations.

Thanks again to everyone. We are off to a great start.

I've just made some small changes to the donate page to give a little more info for anyone just coming to the site for it.

Please take a look and more importantly ... spread the word! Thanks

Less than a week to ADI to go now, all bits coming together nicely now.

We have 4 cars confirmed doing fundraising laps for us.

MacRS4 - B7 RS4 (all day)
Ben H - B5 S4 (morning)
Sam H - B6 S4 (morning)
Dace - B5 RS4 (afternoon)

Nudenut has also offered us as much time he can spare between other commitments in his C6 RS6.

We have some extra features this year that we are still working on, more will be revealed later

All raising funds for our SDR4Karis appeal http://audisrs.com/sdr4karis.html

Thanks guys

Anyone else interested in doing fundraising laps for us please get in touch. Be aware that if you agree to do it, you need to be available to take as many people out as possible.

If you are wanting to go out on track as a passenger in some great cars with experienced drivers get yourself down to Castle Combe this weekend (8th Oct)
