I'm sure this has come up before on here but I can't find anything much using the search, but, I am in the market for a pressure washer + equipment and have no idea what to go for.

Karcher are the obvious choice but which one?

Which hose lance do I choose? Does it matter?

What are the best products to use with the washer?

Assuming that budget isn't a real issue but does have a limit at some point, what are my options?

TIA

Nilfisk all the way for me mate with the specific snowfoam lance off cleanyourcar.com

Won't go far wrong. Proper good value, mines still going years later.

Not heard of Nilfisk before they have got a lot of good reviews.

How important is the actual pressure? Is 125bar really that different from 130 or even 110bar?

I see a few around the £200 mark that come with a foam lance, are these the Snowfoam lances that everyone goes on about or ditch that accessory and get a proper snowfoam lance?

Thanks so far guys

I waxed lyrical about my Nilfisk C120 when I got it. After about 18 months it started to play up, then after a few months it packed in because the pressure release valve screwed up. Replaced that, but just couldn't sort it out. Bought a cheaper Nilfisk C110, but the flow is nowhere near as good.

Ive had my nilfisk C110 for about 5 years, and touch wood has'nt put a foot wrong!  Having not used a c120, i can't compare but the c110 seems more than enough for cleaning cars.  I bought a separate foam lance from cleanyourcar or something like that. It was about 50 quid with some snowfoam thrown in.  Worth it!

I have seen that Argos (of all places) do a Nilfisk Titan 120bar pressure washer with a fair bit of extras for only £99!

That can't be right surely?

As my first pressure washer, I like the price of the C110 and it will give me plenty of change to get a snowfoam lance and some products. However, after I have read some reviews on the Titan, I may well get one from Argos, I was about 23 the last time I bought anything from there!!

Argos is always a bit of a dark horse when it comes to some things!  Good service off them when i've ordered online in the past!  that c120 sounds like a good deal.

It's not the pressure what's important but the LPH. You can get a decent market washer from nilfisk or kärcher but If you want a really good washer with high LPH look at Kränzle 10/120. Flows almost 50% more than nilfisk.
But you get what you pay for in this matter.

Amazon as well, cheaper.  Just ordered this, Im assuming I don't need to but a separate foam lance as it seems to be part of the kit?

All this cleaning stuff is new to me but just thought it would be better for winter time to use this than a bucket etc.

I'm a Karcher man these days. My posh £380 Bosch Aquatak failed after a year.

I have looked at the Kranzle and they are proper bits of kit but I can't justify the money for what I will using it for. Perhaps if I wanted to give the Albanians some competition!

That Amazon deal looks to be the one for me. As it states, you get a foam lance but i'm sure it won't be as good as this one available on cleanyourcar.com http://www.cleanyourcar.co.uk/was...ce-various-fittings/prod_371.html
