We're absolutely delighted to announce a raffle in aid of SDR4KARIS kindly supported by Milltek Sport.

The prizes:

1) 750 Milltek voucher
2) 350 Milltek voucher
3) 100 Milltek voucher

Each of the above includes VAT and can be exchanged for Milltek products as listed on www.amdessex.com website.

The competition:

To buy a ticket, simply donate 10 to our fundraising page here: http://audisrs.com/sdr4karis.html and put 'Milltek' + your name in the text box. You can buy as many tickets as you like.

The competition will close when 200 tickets have been sold. We will reconcile the names and allocate each ticket a raffle ticket for a draw to be made independantly.

That's it! Thank you very much to Milltek Sport for donating this huge prize, we have adjusted our fundraising total up from 2,000 to 4,000 as a result

Please, please tell all your friends and feel free to promote this fundraising competition on other forums, at events, wherever you can think of!

I spend about an hour a day on these forums, and have never heard a word about this fundraising appeal before? Must be loads of members who are in the same boat. Only spotted it today because I "accidentally" went to the home page.

It's been our homepage feature twice, a global announcement on the forum twice, there are 5 threads about it in the fundrasing forum, each has been bumped a number of times. We've also promoted it on facebook and twitter.

We are open to any suggestions that will help us with promotion There is a fine line with fundraising however, not everyone appreciates blatent 'tin shaking' which is fair enough.

I hope you feel able to make a contribution or enter the raffle

I can see the forum has done plenty to raise awareness - but somehow I missed it all!

I never visit the homepage - didn't even realise there was a fundraising section (I've never thought to look at anything else but classifieds and B5 section) and I didn't know SRS was on twitter or facebook!

The only thing I can suggest which would have brought it to my attention would be a banner / alert (in the centre at the top) similar to the sponsors banner over on the right hand side.

I wouldn't have taken that as tin shaking - as long as it wasn't flashing away distracting my eye from the posts etc. I would guess that a large majority of members don't know about Karis and this appeal and would gladly donate if they did!! It's really good to see the forum doing things like this.

Thanks for your reply carpy

Banner is a good idea, we will get one sorted.

The best way to 'read' the forum is to click new posts in the menu at the top. That will show you all threads with new posts since your last visit, including what forum they are in.

Fingers crossed more people will see the SDR4KARIS appeal and contribute or enter the raffle.

Many thanks for your donation
