In the RS6 I simply plugged it in its charging thing into the socket in the centre console .. This puts it just in front of the arm rest behind the Gear Shift, "in" the drink holder. Its pointing straight up which the instructions say dont do, however it locked onto Sats and worked like that .. In times I have used it, its warnings seem to be as accurate on warnings as my Talex ..

I prefer the Talex system as its a voice versus a "bing" .. however Talex cost way more to buy and run ... IMO if you want a simple "just in case" camera warning system .. you cant go wrong for the money

Has anyone else had experience with the K1? I'm tempted to get one now I've moved closer to London (the roads are a speed camera minefield!).

These are pretty cheap,

I have the £79 original one, and its brilliant, shows your speed, has voice alearts and so on.

Well i've already got Tom Tom on my phone and also a dedicated navigation unit running an old version of tom tom. Updating the database 3-4 times a year has kept me safe so far.
I was more interested in having something with no screen that was small enough to hide inside the dash/pillar  but was always on inside the car. I'm considering running one of these inside an air vent so I could still see the LED's and hear the chirps.

From what i've read about laser detector units, by the time they have warned you its too late.

Do radar units pick up Gatzo's very well? I've read that modern ones do not scatter that much and thus are harder to pickup.
