*** AudiSRS Charity Fundraising 2009 ***

This year the forum is raising money for Leukaemia Research, please see http://www.lrf.org.uk/ We have a target of 2000 and are planning lots of different things to achieve it.

We have set up a just giving page http://www.justgiving.com/AudiSRS/ and would be delighted to receive your donations & try to use gift aid also

We will update this page with details regularly

OK, all the Audi Driver International fundraising details are now confirmed, please see this thread http://audisrs.com/about6928.html for details

CG-Lock Raffle. We are raffling one for LRF. Just donate 5 on the just giving page and when we have 10, we will draw the winner from the 10 entrants

Does anyone have a contact who can help us increase the money raised with a contribution from a business please? I'm thinking of the scheme Barclays run/ran where they double the amount raised where a member of their staff is involved in fundraising

We are also looking to get each of the 5 cars sponsored with all money donated direct to LRF. If you can help, please contact us

LOL you speak for yourself............ I chain smoke
bluebrakes

Lol. It would be better to do something that benefits in terms of collected money and the challenge. Everybody does hiking and running, lets be different.

I.e get people to sponsor us to do a 24 hour playground build off for the kids that suffer with the illness.

get local businesses to sponsor us with materials.

I could prob get some materials sorted?
ZeroK66

There we are... liking this - sounds perfect!

It would be great. Especially as no-one would need to put any training in to do this, we are all a dab hand at DIY right?  (Cough)

One last thing, get your wallets out the rest of you tight old sods!

We will be confirming the Audi Driver International charity activities shortly. If you are a site sponsor/trade user and would like to donate something for us to raffle, please contact us. We would also be interested in hearing from anyone who can give a charity donation in return for pretty much any type of sponsorship that the forum can provide.

We understand that people give to charity in different ways (I hate tin shakers myself!) but the fund is off to a flying start so thanks again for that.

David, after a chat with Mark the other night, I will take the 996 up and do some passenger laps. Was a bit reluctant as am at Spa 13th and 14th but its worth a punt as the car is rather rapid round combe.
cool-surf!

Added my part, every Little helps.

Will try to participate more in the ADI bits too.

Very good Cause

Stu
Adam

I'll be paying for a few laps with Simon

Thank you Stuart

The total is moving along nicely

The first post of this thread has now been updated with details of our charity activities for LRF at Audi Driver International & with exciting details of the charity online raffle to win a CG-Lock
DavidT

First post now has requests for help with corporate sponsorship of fundraising and of the charity cars.

Please contact us if you can help.
DavidT

The total amount raised has now moved on quite spectacularly and we have more to add over the next few months
DavidT

We have now reached 60% of our 2,000 total
Alps

Just fulfilled my promise.

And there'll be more to come as soon as people cough up for all the stuff they've taken off me on credit

Come on all those who haven't donated. We're so close now to reaching the target.

Thanks very much Alps, very kind of you

We are now past the 75% mark http://www.justgiving.com/AudiSRS
CliveH

I've just been on the site to do my little bit and see that we've now raised 1,547.92, that's 77% of the target - one last push before the end of the year...
mikey-s

Just done my bit too.

It only takes a few minutes to do, and you can give as much as you like so there really aren't any excuses!

Come on guys, as Tesco says 'Every little helps!'
CliveH

Good stuff Mikey

As I've said to others I've mentioned this to, my view has always been to choose which charities I support and I object to having it thrust down my throat or having 'peer pressure' put on me. I do have reasons for supporting this particular charity and I do believe the money will be spent wisely.

So please, if it's not an intrusion and you consider it a worthy cause, as Mikey says 'every little helps'... (78% now)
MarkB

Thanks guys.
DavidT

The total has now been updated with the 255 for the RS4 model (thanks again simple1 and to the generous winning bidder ) we are now at 91% of our 2,000 charity fundraising total for 2009.
Simple1

So by my maths you are 900 quid short??? Help me out here Clive!

CliveH

Thanks for your contribution Linda

Are you suggesting that we split the difference here Simon...??
CliveH

Well, actually, just looked at the scores on the board and, according to my maths, and following Liwi's generous contribution, we are now there...!

Thanks to everyone who has taken part and donated some of their hard earned money
liwi

I still believe if we could continue to contribute to this worthy cause then every little penny would make a difference.
CliveH

Absolutely agree - sorry if I gave the wrong impression if anyone thought I meant we've reached our target and that was the end of it.

Lets see where we can get to by the end of the year - 21 days to go yet...
DavidT

Thank you very much indeed Linda.

WOW, I can't believe it, I really can't. I have very personal reasons for our choice of charity this year. When we set the 2,000 target it was no more than a dream really, but now we've reached

We will continue to collect for LRF into next year though
Adam

Excellent news, well done everyone
MarkB

Brilliant!

Can't think of anything else to say really.

Brilliant
