Now on ebay  http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=170413662829

Kindly donated by Simple1 we have, what I am told by several people is, an extremely rare Pewter RS4 model.

The model was presented to Simon when he bought his B5 RS4 back in 2001.

The proceeds from the Auction will be going to the Leukaemia Research Fund.

t.b.o I dont know so I wont embarras myself or someone else.

besides, for a charity people are always more generous than what something is worth.... simply to help someone else less fortunate than ourselves granted good health.

I have a sum in mind.... see where it stands me in the bidding

please let us know when it makes ebay.
Simple1

To help you in attaching a value, they cannot be bought, they were presented to owners of new vehicles when they collected their new cars and the last one on Ebay made over £200. I had several of them when Audi cleared out a few remaining ones, but this one was the one that is numbered and corresponds to my chassis number. It seemed like a good idea to raise some funds with it, I hope interested parties bid accordingly.

It is boxed and complete with original packaging... would have thought it was a must for any diehard RS4 fan............

I now have this in my possession, the pictures really don't do it justice.

It's going to be listed on eBay this evening... 7 day listing...
Doug

I'll start the bids at £200 then

(unless you want to start it off on ebay at a lower price - then you can delete this post)
MarkB

I was planning to list it lower as it's cheaper and gets more money for the charity...

But £200 would be a great start.
quattrokid

have you got a link please?

200 quid from the word go....

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Not listed yet.

Its gotta be better to auction it here rather than ebay? Ebay will take their cut from the final price. It cant be that hard? Just set a finnish date and time and let the bidding start?
MarkB

eBay has wider coverage though.
bluebrakes

i'm sure there is a charity option on there so they can't charge you, only the listing fee. You would need to check though.

Yes and as previously stated the last one sold for £200. Doug is already offering that so its not a bad start. Im sure it wont go for any more than that on the bay?
Graham

eBay will get you the wider audience and surely the higher price even after any fees. It will go to an enthusiast either way I would have thought.

Start low so I can at least have a go anyway!
H8CAK

Quote from ebay 'Donate between 10% and 100% of your sale to charity and eBay will give you a credit on basic selling fees for sold items'
MarkB

Listing soon...

On eBay the identity of the bidders/winner will be kept anonymous. That's something I can't easily do on here.
MarkB

Not live yet, but here's the link for when it does... http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=170413662829

It'll be live @ 10:30 Plenty of time to get TopGear out of the way first
H8CAK

Done my bit and got it up to £200 Just read the conditions of sale too. Looks like 10% of the final sale price will be taken by ebay

Items sold by charities on eBay
MissionFish makes no deduction from any listings made by charities themselves (“direct selling”), and does not charge charities any fees for using eBay for Charity.

Cash donations
MissionFish make an all-inclusive deduction of 5p on £1 cash donations made through eBay checkout. There are no additional deductions, such as processing charges or VAT, and no charge to the charities involved. 95p from each £1 donation reaches the chosen charity.

Donations from eBay sellers
When eBay sellers donate the proceeds of a sale, MissionFish’s deduction is based on the size of the donation, and reflects the greater costs involved. The percentage deducted gets smaller as the donation gets bigger. On average, MissionFish takes less than 15% of each donation. For large donations, the deduction can be as low as 3%.

If the donation is... The MissionFish deduction is...*
£2 - £9.99  20% of the donation
£10 - £99.99  15% of the donation above £10
+
£2 from the first £9.99 donated
£100 - £999.99  10% of the donation above £100
+
£15.50 from the first £99.99 donated
£1,000 and more 5%* of the donation above £1,000
+
£105.50 from the first £999.99 donated

*MissionFish only deducts 3% of donations above £1,000 when you make your donation by Banker's Draft or BACS transfer.
MarkB

Wow, £200 already
MarkB

After a quick start bidding seems to have ground to a halt
Graham

Not surprising given the amount it's at is it? higher than i thought it would go for (originally).
MarkB

I think/hope it will go some more yet.
quattrokid

I have a cunning plan

hope it works.... 5 days to find out....or what ever its down to now
H8CAK

£235 is a good price
