Thanks but I'm really not a fan of the cloth seats in the S4 I think the onyx Lethers should come as standard.

Will be buying a set soon as I find em.

Just realised it's not actually a Ming blue

Colour code is LY5K Brilliant Blue

Anyone else got this colour if so post pics

Managed to fit a set of 19" 8.5j S8 forged alloys.

Is the paint flat or full or orange peel mate ?
Shamx1166

Yes the colour does have orange peel which I'm going to try polish up with some cutting compound polish and wax to see how the colour comes out.

Rear spoiler set of lowering springs honey comb grill are up next.👍🏼

Brilliant Blue vs Ming Blue

Lots of black on my phone.

My missus says i need to go to specsavers as i am overdue a test though.

Loverly conifers mind in the back 😎

Nice car's lads 👌👌👌
Shamx1166

Lol

Zeds4 we need some day pics for a real colour comparison.

Yes in person my car looks more black than blue in the dark,

And the Zeds4 looks more of a purple.

Cheers Simon s3

Actual colour..

Nice find

Still not 100% convinced on the look atm

IMHO you need some contrast on the car.

I would get the front grille darkened along with 4 rings

Then have a more bling polished alloy finish along with chrome wing mirrors.

Then a good drop.

Just my take, so tell me to fook off if you want!
frazz82

Nice slut drop would look good.

I agree with Mike on the contrast thing   each to there own though.

My ming blue on far right with bright silver 19s on a drop for comparison:

I have a cupra spoiler too, but havent fitted through fear of loosing of on speed bumps!!
Shamx1166

Yes I agree it's on 255 35 19 ATM.

Looking to get 235 35 19 once I get some springs on it,

In terms of contrast I will be blacking out the grill until I get RS4 grill
also have a set of aluminium side mirrors to go on once I dig em out.

Wanted to know if I can run ev14 injectors without mapping the car!.

A nice Front mount is also my next mod after seeing your Ming

What suspension set up are you running?
confusionhunter

I have Bilstein PSS9s on, you are best with a coilover set up of course but not the cheapest option. I hear B12s are a good option. I spend ages getting the height right regardless of wheel size I think optimum is 64-65 cm from hub centre to wheel arch. I needed to get my front arches rolled and trim the inner wing covers to get decent clearance.

If you change the injectors you will need a remap. In fact you wouldnt need ev14s without more mods to the engine assuming its std. At that mileage Id also want to know the health of the turbos before doing anything (or have some spare in case).
Hope that helps.

Thanks for your reply lots of great info.

Last night the car wouldn't start came up as MAF low/faulty

Need a new one basically tried leaning but now cars not starting the
Maf is finished.

Where do everyone get theirs from. ???
jimbo

if its hitatchi I have one here, if not just unplug it , the car will run fine , just a bit richer that's all.

Cheers Jimbo

Mine is Bosch brand tried some electrical contact cleaner but still no readings via vcds in measuring block 003.

Does unplugging the connector cause any issues apart from running rich.

Mines currently struggling to start and when it was running I disconnected it
And didn't hesitate or go lumpy.

I just bought mine of someone breaking but ideally you can get it from TPS or euros they usually take your old faulty unit in and nofk off some pennys, if it's comming up faulty you can disconnect it and it should run however will run richer I belive

Kool il be disconnecting it and see if it cures my start issue it's currently having. Seems to not restart once warmed.

Getting my other stage 1 rsko4'd S4 back from the garage after my stage 3 S4 clutch failed

So will be sticking this in the garage for a overhaul and enjoy the RS clutch and dmfw. Il try not to launch or slip the clutch like I have been.

Just hope the Rs clutch will hold the power on boost.

How many miles running/bedding the rs clutch before giving some serious boost?

👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

I just do about 200 then start thrashing but people's opinion varys 500 I would say to be safe maybe, MAF shouldn't be stopping it from starting when warm only thing I can think of is the g28 engine speed sensor take of the coolant bottle and check the ground connections behind it make sure the nut is tight. but 1st I would get a working maf sensor and then diagnose the starting fault.
Shamx1166

Hey thanks for your help DanialA11,

Il be checking all of the bits and bobs are are good on the This S4.

I it did throw a engine speed sensor code but never came back. As yet!

The engine turns over fine and can hear the fuel pump clicking also checked the pump fuse and was fine.

Could be a very minor issue.

I must say for nearly 200k It drives beautifully with no funny noises creeks or a rattle.

As I'm in the shitty roads of London the roads are poor with high speed bumps and with 19"s and oem set up I drives like a S4 should no scrapes or slowing over bumps where people horn behind you.

I might get some springs but never touching Coilovers again they tent to end the life of the multi link kits too which are not cheap replacements either.

The wires for coolant sensor on the header tank fell apart as I checked the speed sensor wiring.

Also need a way get that fixed too the wires are all stiff and rusty
DanialA11

no problem here to help, yup if it threw the code once try your luck with the earth connections 1st then if you have the time remove the sensor give it a clean located somewhere behind the block on gearbox, worst case just replace I had same fault on my yellow s4 of not starting if it was warmed up then turned if for a few mins, cleaning earth links helped but instead of not starting when hot it start randomly cutting out new sensor from ECP sorted this tho for me. also my one wouldn't always throw the code either sometimes would be no code but having changed it on two s4s now both north of 140k miles I'm certain it's that.

well maintained s4's do drive well just like they should. and yours looks to be one of them
Shamx1166

Just removed the S line badge and rear rings

A shot of the rear lights too

I've got it all running fine now thanks guys glad this site as helpful
As expected
