3.0 tfsi

So it seems the stage 2 upgrade is very popular on the s4 and a6. What is available if you want more though?

Stage 3?

More powerful supercharger would be the logical next step but more bucks

Never seen an upgrade charger. Happy to be proved wrong though
Graham

Things change so this may not be current, but I recall MRC tried a bigger charger and it wasn't such a good solution. Too much heat even with cooling mods and a high dependency on very good fuel for limited extra gain.

MRC,APR etc are working on a twin pulley upgrade now I believe.
It will require better cooling as well though

Your best option is the intercooler upgrade.  So rather than the factory set up that has the intercoolers and engine on the same coolant circuit, the intercooler has its own dedicated circuit.

You won't get a massive 'headine' rolling road bhp power boost, but then the weathers hot or the car is hot, you will produce closer to the 'rolling road' bhp everytime, and not have the bhp drop away / heat soak in the real world etc.

Expensive, but if you ask nicely, MRC might offer a package if purchase with exhaust / remap / stage 2, roll bars etc etc

APR have a supercharger upgrade.

What figures are these producing?

MRC is working on next stage with pulley upgrade and watermath

MRC's instagram says they're trying out another bigger charger at the moment

Some APR maps run silly boost etc. to make power which makes me not trust anything else they do...

Stage 2 is a massive increase in performance, doesnt cost much and (touch wood) 10K miles later hasn't produced any problems. Coming from the B5 RS4 world of hidden issues, massive bills and general pain it is a welcome change and shouldn't be overlooked IMO.

That's an old pic just recently shared I think.

Not worth it at all , you get more power from a stage 2
