B7 RS4 brakesHi all.
I am going to install B7 RS4 brakes to my S3 8p.(just fronts)
My original brakes are 345mm w/1pot and want to install 365mm 8piston system. b7's are 5x112 and s3's 5x112 too. I will use stock rs4 calipers and discs + ferodo ds2500 pads and stainless steel brake lines.
Also i will use rs4 caliper brackets. I need some extra parts to install this kit : centring rings and spacing washers. Somebody told me that i will need to machine the corner edge of my wheel hubs to allow the original RS4 bells to fit correctly.
What do you guys think of that ?

should fit seen a set on a mk4 golf, alot of people use the b5 rs4 as a upgrade to.

I think you need new caliper mounts. The holes are closer together....

You are right. I know some guys who did that before. I have never made this kind of conversion before. I will track the car so dont want to get in trouble with it. What do you guys think of custom rings, washers and corner machining things? Can they make a problem ?

I will try the rs4's brackets when they arrive but if i cant use it, then we will make custom brackets.

I think the TT shop might do brackets

I sent a mail to TTshop. This is what they told to me "You will need to use the original RS4 caliper brackets"

I think the owner of the mk4 was A guy called Gregg well that was the plate MRC boys know him might bealbe to help you out

Looks like the MK4 needed new brackets. I can check the hole spacing on the B7 and MK5 if you like?

You are right. MK4 needed new brackets and also MK4s are 5x110, MK5s are 5x112.
I will be appreciate that if you can check it for me.

I can confirm the MK5 mounts are the same pitch as the B7 RS4 
I'll also move this thread to the S3 forum as the info is specific to that model.
