Bio Fuel Regulations - How are we affected?

Don't know if this has been covered in any depth on here before, but here is a link to a Pistonheads article that's appeared today and looks (on the surface anyway) to be a tad worrying!!!

This could affect all models on here?

I also have a ur quattro, is this going to require massive mods to keep going?

Any guru's out there that can shed any light on any potential effects on the models here on SRS?

Nothing to worry about...

"E10 petrol is cleared for use in all Audi petrol driven vehicles, excluding the following vehicles:

First generation direct injection engines:
Audi A2 1.6 FSI, model years 2003-2005
Audi A3 1.6 FSI, model year 2004
Audi A3 2.0 FSI, model year 2004
Audi A4 2.0 FSI, model years 2003-2004"

I dont think bio-fuels are recommended for the FSI engine (although it will run fine on the proposed mix) and I read that it could make the carbon build up worse.

This could be why it appears to be worse in the states as I believe they have had a 10% mix of bio-fuel with unleaded for some time?

Bit OT....
I'm sorry but I cannot understand why we are growing plants to provide fuel - that land could be used to grow plants to provide FOOD. Forum Index -> Audi Cars
