I've been itching for a Buddies meet, good call.

I've a bit to fit in that weekend, so I'm a bit sketchy but I'll aim for the best and say I'll be there.

In what Mr Gale????
Parptoot

I won't  have the MG back by then so it'll  be either HMS Jelly Golf or the TT

What's up with the MG?
Parptoot

Nowt, just getting repainted, engine recon and 5 speed conversion.

That's nowt then Lol!
Parptoot

Well it's not faulty, breaking down, blowing turbos, wearing synchros,  losing the ability to read a digital dash.....etc.

I just chose to get a couple of scratches/scabs done, make cruising quieter and as it's  all going to be pretty much new, the engine was the only thing letting the side down so.....

For £400 I can have all the parts bought for a full rebuild, rebore,  regrinding etc....I thought, why not!
Graham

Expect the Golf up for sale any time soon then

Sorry still haven't done anything to the old girl, one day I promise.

Shame I can't make this one. I could have come in the Jeep Patriot to show you all up. Don't worry, I'd have parked it over the road at McDonalds.

Not tempted to fit a 1275?

Doing a few miles in the A4 over the next month and a bit, so I might try and give the A3 a run, or 205 if the weathers decent
HPsauce

Sorry, can't make that as I'll be "on parade" at Goodwood from about 8am with my Site Pass for Vee-Power Sunday.

Rob, roll over that debt (breakfast) you owe me to the next one.

Erm, I'm sure you're right, but can you remind me.    Did I forget my wallet last time, or was it on one of the many occasions you've helped/saved me money? Anyway, yep, next time!
HPsauce

Solving your centre cap problem IIRC. Though it was only a beer/coffee you offered not the Full English!
How's the new CTS by the way?

Of course, my sieve of a brain does recall! Just nudge me next time we meet up!

It seems fine, although I still don't have the O ring in place (as you say, I must have left the old one in). I will take it apart again to check, but, it's finding time. The coolant level hasn't shifted since I topped it up. First long trip away in it though this weekend, so that'll be the test.

I should be able to make it, if not in the TurboHedge, then in The Bit on the Side.

It already is a 1275, it's heading towards being a 1320, I think.
Ian_C

Ahhhh I should have said a later 1275 (later mini cooper, mg metro etc etc)

5 speed will be good - cannot be many 1275s that have that.  Not even sure if the late Coopers had it?

No need to boast what you do in your own "special me time" sessions Rob

Love to come but still no rs6 and I'm not driving a discovery on extreme mud tyres 150 miles each way!!!!
prashb10

Wrong day for me. Sunday's are swimming lessons for the little one
Ian_C

See you down there chaps.  God knows what I'll be in - no time today for any car washing.  205 is dusty but clean(ish) in the garage and I would like to give it a final proper run this year before the weather turns
HPsauce

Have fun, I'll be getting up at 6am to drive down to Goodwood and scoff a Full English in the Control Tower before you lot are even on the road to Buddies!
