c5 RS6 warranty

Can anyone point me in the direction of the best company to cover a c5 rs6 annually?

I can get an extended warranty when i buy the car but will look at having some peace of mind with ownership over a few years.

I've had a look online but would rather get some info from other owners.

thanks

If you  can get extended warranty from where you are buying then I would go for that tbh, as long as it covers the major issues and has a decent maximum claim amount.

Most of the other well known after market warranty companies will have little or no options for the C5 RS6, I know this from when I owned mine and it was 8 yrs old and only 38K miles

Thanks for that, i will discuss the extended options available with the Company who deals with the garage.

Going back few years, but I asked a similar question:

Even better Graham, thanks.

Been toying with the thought of getting one of these for years, was going off the idea and was looking at a modded s4 b5.

Then changed my mind again to a w211 e55 amg of which i am a massive fan........however.

I just can't get away and keep coming back to one of these, the quattro is an added bonus from someone heavily into his amg's of which i will still have my c32 wagon for daily use.

I've also read many different views and reports about the cam belt which people say needs to be changed from anything between 35k to 60k.

First thing i will be doing is getting whatever one i get booked into MRC for a health check then take it from there.

Best advice there, and make sure you take your service book to so MRC can check when/if plugs/belts etc were done at the right time or are now due!

Thanks for the tip Ian, i will certainly take all the paperwork that comes with the car with me to MRC.

My ideal situation will be to travel down from Aberdeen, buy the car then take her straight to MRC for the health check, then take it from there.

Speak with MRC or Unit 20 and ask their opinions on whose got the best warranty , after all, they will be the ones dealing with it for you in the event of a claim

You can have a choice of repair centres (ie, main dealer or approved) but the policy will limit the hourly rate they are prepared to pay, so that is one thing you will have to research.
