Totally agree. All are heroes but some of the bikers are absolute nutters. A dream but thats it at this stage. Fancy it yourself?

I think many of the cars arent that exotic so they tend to only focus on the buggys and the VW Racing Toureg (as they are sexy) or he Racing Lancers which isnt appearing this year (a great shame) as Mitsi have ducked out of the Dakar.

Nutter To be fair though Id give it a try on / in anything if I could afford it. Its about £60k to do it in a car. not sure about a bike. We used to race Enduro and that was bad enough for injuries. Dakar is just silly What an experience though...for the first 8 miles before you get hooped over the bars and snap yer wrists
