Delivery man just made my day, package from JHM with two shiny new rotors.
Don't suppose you could take another shot with something like a coin for size reference? They look absolutely massive! And a stupid question, as the link on
http://jhmotorsports.com doesn't work for me...is a bell the entire surround that all the pistons for the break are contained in?

Wow - that does look good. Ready to STOP!!!!?
bam_bam
Think of the bell as the disc hub.
This is s picture of a floating disc setup, it's allowed a small amount of movement due to the bolt and bobbin design. Gorgeous!
Out of interest, what is the best (iron) brake setup for the B5?
lol, the last thing I am on this planet would be racist
little uneducated in the field of Audi though...
KiwiRS4
Going to try out the OEM Pagid's I got off PW. After speaking to the team at TMD Friction there should be no difference between the OEM Pagid's and the OEM Audi supplied items. Will post an update to this thread once they're fitted.
if you dont mind how much was the total for them....pm me if you prefer.
KiwiRS4
Stock vs. JHM
-Rotor Weight: Stock = 24lbs(each), JHM = 20lbs(each) - 17% LIGHTER, 4lbs less each (8lbs total)
-Rotor Cooling Air-gap: Stock = 13mm(.512"), JHM = 18.5mm(.728") - LARGER for better cooling
-Rotor Cooling Center Fin Design: Stock = Straight Fin, JHM = Airfoil - MORE EFFICIENT for better cooling
-Rotor OD: Stock = 365mm(14.4"), JHM = 365mm(14.4") - SAME
-Rotor Thickness: Stock = 34mm(1.34"), JHM = 34mm(.1.34") - SAME
-Bolt pattern: - SAME (fits on the OEM center hat just like an OEM rotor would)
Discs are looking awesome, but they must be heavy too!
Doug
They are great discs - we have them on a few b7 rs4s.

I love JHM packages
Only thing I hate about them is end of the month when customs send me my other gift
Looks solid stuff!
graemep
Looking good
VERY interested to hear how you get on with these, as I'm thinking of a set when the time comes. Lilke the fact that they're that bit lighter than OEM.

what sizes have you put on the b7's...replacement 365mm or 380mm?
if 380mm, did you have a check to see whether an 18inch rim would fit under it? if not ....how easy is it to fabricate the spacer that they supply (its about 7.5mm) to check if it would fit on a b5 with the b7 set up
will be ordering soon, if i cant find bargain oem items.
Doug
juice - use some washers to space it out to test if the caliper fits under with 7.5mm spacers.
jeffw
I've run 380mm discs with B7 calipers on 18" rims.
Juice
any pics jeff?
Kiwi, when are you fitting them?? defo wanna see pics of how they look under the rim and would like to know your first thoughts.
doug - never thought of that, are the b7 owners upgrading to the larger discs or stock size?
Will post an update to this thread once they're fitted.
hi mate, when are you looking to fit them?
KiwiRS4
Hopefully this week, just changed over the first bell/rotor. Should have the second one done after dinner. I blame SKY Atlantic HD for getting the in the way important of Man-Toy-Maintenance.
Will post an update to this thread once they're fitted.

Rasss-4
They look Sexual! I want some....but need to sort the Coilys out first!
- I need a quiet word with myself....
(..come'on Juss, pull yourself together, you cant keep being lead astray like this...)
jeffw
380x36mm under 19" rims but you get the idea. The car had 18" rims on previously. Photo by Paz
Juice
Dam! they look good! must of been really tight behind the 18's jeff
lynchy
A photo of mov-it 380mm discs nice tight fit
KiwiRS4
JHM 365mm rotors fitted with Pagid OEM pads, so far very nice and a noticeable improvement over OEM discs + pads.
Juice
looking sexy mate, much gap between the callie and wheel? or isit a tight fit
Virdee
Same size disc juice, so shouldn't make any difference to the gap.
Juice
Good to meet you earlier Kiwi...
defo a noticeable improvement over the b7 discs....look the nuts, lighter, and cheaper. Stop very well to when you/I stamped the brakes.
let us know how they are after say 200 miles.
more then likely going to order my set soon, waiting on another person
KiwiRS4
Likewise Juice, always nice to see another tricked RS4 in the carpark and for the blat around Ascot. You've got me tempted on the Wagners and W/M now after driving yours. Could you drop me the link to your latest dyno plot. Be interested to see the torque curve.
