My new family estate car

I have had it 2 weeks now, it has a large boot and is quite comfortable. Ideal family transport.  Quite pleased with it really, the colour is nice and bright and it has 4 wheel drive too so is safe.  Nothing much else to say really?

My kids seem to like the new car, must be the new car smell.
guymcc

Awesome!!!  Love the plate too! lol
mbelle

Awesome.

Offft tidy

Looks fantastic.

Any reasonable person will agree an RS 6 is ideal family transport
F12KYB

ooooh love the car mate ticks all my boxes
JonnyH

It does look nice doesn't it?  On the downside though it is really noisy when I get above 2k rpm.  It is rare that I go above 2k though as it is doing above the national speed limit by then. There must be a problem with the exhaust

Challice

Didn't notice that plate before

You sound totally underwhelmed!

Or are you being too modest!?

Looks awesome. Ive been watching a few on YouTube running 700+ and they sound awesome too.

That was my 'tonge in cheek' review.  I'd better not use the expletives I want to in case there are sensitive eyes here!  Maybe insert your own!

This car is absolutely #*$€!&@ amazing!

I must have driven it with the parking brake on for my test drive as I thought it was no quicker than my B5.  I was wrong.  In sports mode it crackles and pops and growls and rumbles and bellows, in Drive it is silky smooth and quiet.

Best car I have ever driven and I can't imagine what on earth id swap it for as a family car (3 children). I don't think there is anything better.
coullstar

Id have one in a heartbeat if I could afford it.

In my favourite colour for these too!

This will be my next Audi RS (When they've depreciated to my price bracket -in about 10 years time)

You have silver leather and three children?

How do you manage that - beat them with a big stick regularly???

That's a better review!! Yes I did think you were holding back a little in the first post

Wouldn't mind one myself.....prices seem to have dropped quite alot recently.
JonnyH

ha, you are right but it's what I wanted and it's a shame to have the interior colour dictated by the kids!  They are in it pretty rarely (maybe once or twice a week) and I hope to maintain a no eating in the car policy!

I have had the leather treated with a sealant and wet wipes are at hand.  My B5 also has silver leather and that still looks great after 15 years so I'm not too concerned.
paul.w

The front end on these looks nice and aggresive
That plate is awesome
mbelle

I'm feeling similar about my recent C6 purchase JonnyH...
jimbo

wow , nice car jonny   id love one of these
JonnyH

Cheers Jimbo, I do feel pretty lucky.

If you had one you'd still have it up on a ramp for 90% of the year, upgrading every possible detail!!
jimbo

did the rs4 sell ?
JonnyH

Not as yet, though I'm sure the first person to see it will take it.  Am away at the mo, back next week, not been around much in the last month to show it anyone.  Will put it on Pistonheads next week and put some more pictures up on here.
jimbo

7 k here if you need a quick sale
JonnyH

Hmmmm....  Where is the emoticon with two fingers up?!
jimbo

seriously though , ive been in a b5 for the last 8 years and to be honest im bored of them. im looking at b8 rs4,s most days now but would really love one with a clutch pedal, unfortunately its not an optional extra.
jimbo

also looking at the new civic type r turbo, had one from new before the rs and should never have sold it
JonnyH

The gearbox on the C7 is very good, you don't really miss the clutch once you switch to manual and use the paddles.  Quick change, Blipping down is fun, and noisy!

And when you are in traffic or tired you can just slip it in drive and drift home.
TinTin1201

I was in two minds on this, no badges was an OEM option, if I didn't have the plate I would have kept the badges.  I may still put them back on, not sure yet.

What's wrong with a B7 - that has 3 pedals AND you can add a blower (or two!)?
