Need help with getting two Pirelli Pzeros

The Pirelli PZero (Audi) 275/35 R20 Y (102), Reinforced tyres we have on the RS6 went out of manufacture mid last year (as they started winter tyre manufacture) and as of now not a single new tyre exists anywhere

I am at that point of needing to replace all 4, however already have two Brand new Pirelli PZero's which I sourced via Audi in October 2011 when I thought I had a puncture, but found out it was a valve and so did not need them

I have been speaking direct to Pirelli UK and they inform me they are doing a one month run (in June) of our tyre which will be "enough" for Europe until they need to do another run next year

They have sourced me two tyres from the very first manufacture and will have them in the UK next week

Here is the problem, they need to sell them to a dealer, I called a couplel of places including Blackcircles.com and they all simple state "they don't deal direct with Pirelli UK and their supplier has no stock"

Is their someone on the forum, in the trade who would be willing to contact Pirelli UK (I have the ladies name and phone number), buy the tyres and then get them shipped to me, I'd cover all costs incurred of course
colicabcadam

i have a ltd company - that has the motor trade listed as one of the trades it undertakes on companies house

not sure if that is any good though ?

the only problem i see is that the "friendly dealer" would have to make a bit of a profit on them?

At least here in Italy you can't buy and resell things without making a profit

Thanks for the offer of help colicabcadam, after speaking with Pirelli they will only deal with an approved dealer such as ATS or National

However for some reason the two tyres they claim to have reserved are no longer available WTF

So as I need all 4 changing, I have two brand new Pirelli PZero (Audi) 275/35 R20 Y (102), Reinforced tyres for sale if any one needs a complete axle pair replacing

As I am close to the legal min I am going to have to go with another make

Try Tyre Works in Crawley (part of wheel works who do refurbs) for prices - they have the best fitting and balancing kit I know of in the area and are always uber-careful with my 20s on the S8.

I had a quote for Michelins recently and they were nowhere near as expensive as I expected.  Might be worth looking at Super Sports for yours?

Think Nigel had Michelins on his MTM rims so might be able to comment on how they compare.

Alternatively, also try MyTyres for the R02 Dunlops.

Maybe try Black Boots? http://www.blackboots.co.uk/

They have a new facility in Milton Keynes and quote a "32,000sq ft, five story building" and "Tyres for Fiesta to Ferrari, Zafira to Zonda, if it's not in stock we will find it wherever in the World".

You might perhaps also get some advice on the Wheels In Motion forum:

Just a thought. Good luck.

Sorted ....

So hers the final story

Pirelli put our PZero 275/35 R20 Y (102), Reinforced R01 (aka the Audi specific) back into a limited run in June... I managed to get 2 of the first run tyres sourced by Pirelli customer services in the UK imported from Germany back into the UK to match the two I had from late last year.  I got a ATS local tyre place to buy them as a special from Pirelli Customer services for me and as of today had all 4 fitted.

Rubber production in the world is about 40% down after the natural disasters, tyre manufacturers are cutting back on the specialised tyres and also numbers of normal tyres. So don't leave it late to check you can get the tyres you need

Thanks to ATS in Thatchem for ordering two tyres on a phone call from a wacky / desperate RS6 driver and major major thanks to Amy in Pirelli UK customer services for finding and getting the tyres for me

I have to say ATS in Thatchem where great .. they reused the grey AUDI plastic dust caps after I asked them, cleaned and polished the rims for me and did a spot on tyre replacement for me too
