new 5 Pot

I know 5 pot will be along soon

Quote from Jalopnik web site

"Audi finally revealed today at the Paris Motor Show the well-camouflaged coupe that's been tooling around Europe. It's called the Audi Quattro, and it's a concept-only tribute to 30 years of rally racing.

Based on a massively shortened RS5, the Quattro sports a 2.5-liter five-cylinder turbo engine just like the good old days. This mill can churn 408 hp, enough to take the aluminium Quattro to 60 mph in 3.8 seconds, via the high-tech all-wheel-drive system. And the package comes close to weighing what the Sport Quattro toted in 1984."

This is supposed to be it

liwi

hope they put a decent exhaust on this!! design is Uber!!

A least give it 1980's appearance instead of a squashed modern front end

it looks like the R4 to me.

priced to match today's prices I suspect!! How cool would it be to be 1980's prices

I wonder if it will have DSG since the E2S1 shortie sporty had the forerunner dsg fitted in the later stages of it's development or it will have a manual box.

Is there any more info out on it yet?

I love that, looks like audis verson of the prodrive p2

I got the pic from this link http://www.insideline.com/audi/au...concept-2010-paris-auto-show.html

I love the modern take on a retro rear.

Looks nice and all that....BUT,

The money they spent on a concept like this, could have been put toward actually keeping the URquattro on the road (+ a surprisingly increasing amount of other models creeping in)

They are all for bigging up the all conquering UR, but won't support it.
Feel sorry for the peeps who try and keep the UR on the go.

Shame on you Audi [/rant off]

Jase..

Yea

and a few of us at the Stirling 30th anniversary meet this month:

this concept could do eith a bit more pronounced squared arches and a bit boxier

oh and half the asking price what ever that will be!!

From the rear I actually think you can see where they are paying tribute to the original design, but the front doesnt really pay any tribute... but it does look feckin cool!

Cant help thinking that the design of the RS5 pays tribute to the Ur in the look of the flared arches - only visible with certain angles/colours
MilkybarKid

Looks like a corrado from the last pic.
Hope they mount the engine a little further back

No way Graeme - the lack of flared arches is quite disappointing in the flesh
quattrokid

remarkedly similar to the R4

come on Audi.... give it a proper squarer shape and twin exhausts TOGETHER and not as shown    little details like this help the cause and not following modern day RS models with a drain pipe either side!!

Yet to see one in the flesh Clive, a couple of photos similar lines but dissapointing if thats not the case.

Hopefully if I dont see one before then, there might be one at ADI.

The front view does nothing for me atall, but from the back I love it.
No doubt it wont look anything like that anyway....
