Noggymike

Lets hope it stands out from the crowd this time!
ski

If you have just come back from national forum are you not an Audi employee ???? you must know what it looks like and may be even have a sneaky pic or may be not?????
amanda

Its big, fast and has a huge arse.....................just like I like them

Challice

Looks just like the new RS4, i dont like it

No doubt they will both be amazing car's but they seem to me to lack the RS look, no flared arches or aggressive looks.
amanda

There are better piccies out there believe me its got big arches and a big arse and a v8 but it becomes a 4 cyl when not under load!
Jonmurgie

Sadly it looks like all modern Audi's - sh!t
Noggymike

Amanda- Calm Down Dear!!!

Challice, havn't seen pics but agree with sentiment.
aka_dk

This forum is stuck in a time warp...circa 2000-2001
Noggymike

See your point, but £ spent would you not want something a little different?  or is STEALTH the winner ?

B5 FTW

Actually, wonder if that's available as a number plate
Noggymike

LOL
Bobsaver501

Although there's no chance of it, please let there be a true manual option so I can buy one in 10 years!
Noggymike

LOL x10!

Yup I am, and it does have wide arches, they've gone RS5/RS4 style with the squared off arches - oh for the record the RS5 cabriolet also looks immense

Oh and I gotta agree with whoever said about being caught in a 2000-2001 timewarp, i love my B5 for the engine and the looks but the driving dynamics of the new RS4 runs rings around it and they look amazing

I know I have piccies on my phone    I want it badly but I dont like the fact the v8 goes back to a 4 pot! Thats the thing that puts me off buying a new one
S4Player

Why would saving petrol out you off :s that's just very backward

If its anything like the S6 Amanda it only does it at cruising speeds of 70mph anyway so it's no biggyU
ToddS4

I'm currently in love with the c6 rs6 sedan
Ian_C

I love my present big uneconomical estate..... but sadly I'm not going to be able to justify splashing the cash on a faster one if its any worse fuel wise.  The mpg of mine doesn't bother me...... but an S6 with four cylinder mode which does 30 mpg not 20 mpg is a whole lot more realistic for me in the future than say a C6 V10 RS6

Agreed I choose the v8 over the v10 and have never regreated it

Hmm the S6 I was driving the other day only averaged out 14mpg on a half hour journey, then again that might've had something to do with me keep changing the rumble of the V8 under the bonnet to a thunderstorm
northern monkey

In the video on the link it looks quite wide in the avant format... i like.

Haha you didn't have the dealer salesman in the passenger seat then clearly..... 14 mpg would have taken some doing!!
Cornishmoocher

Ive said it before, i;ll say it again, buying an RS6 and worrying about fuel consumption is like buying a boat and worrying about getting it wet......

I don't even look anymore; tell the cashier to shut up and take my money, repeat every day. My name's Amar and I'm a V8aholic.

I am the salesman Ian - and trust me it doesn't take that much effort fella lol
mattyc

Got my name done for one, cant wait will be a great car.

I was lucky enough to see a prototype / Test car when at the Factory a few months ago.

Did you have hair then?

I'd have an r8 any day of the week over my Rs4 if money was no object

Relevance?

Reading this is much like the thread prior to the new RS4 arriving and once it did most seem to have changed there mind on that.

Parptoot

I think that looks fantastic but I have a thing for avants and understated looks. Lottery win car, maybe.
Moonwalker

Nice, but wtf is that quattro thing in the grill all about?
Parptoot

Errrgh didn't see that!
Moonwalker

I hope it's a joke.
Graham

It's been on all the pics I've seen so far. I quite like it.
doodlebug

Deletable option thankfully.

I noticed it on them but thought it was one of them watermarks for a website where the photos were from.
buzzard

All old audi's were new once

I really love it
RubanS4

I like the new look of it
JasonA

I think that the quattro section in the grill looks gash, kinda expect it to light up in LEDs or something. Also not so sure on the rear bumper either but other than that looks pretty sweet
speedfr38ky

I dunno guys, its just missing that wow factor that made me go and spec up a c6. Whether its was all about the tt v10 for me and the headline numbers with mega tuning potential I dont know. The c5 was special with its cosworth engine, the c6 was with its Lambo V10 tt. Nothing really to distinguish this new variant, esp when AMG launch the awd Eclass estate, it wont even be the quattro drivetrain element anymore....
Bops4

Just read about the new e63 being awd. Looks like audi might need to up the stakes to stay at the front come rain or shine
Noggymike

I like most of what I see on pics but underneath the rear bumper in between the exhausts looks disgusting. I'm sure it serves some very good purpose, but it looks rank!

That would be my first mod!!!
jordan

The Quattro part of the grill is removable in the options list.

Nudenut

Friend of mine (Audi M Tech) drove this car a couple of weeks ago and tells me it is VERY special.

He also loved the RS7
aka_dk

RS 7 will be the daddy to end all daddys
speedfr38ky

Just seen the new e63 "s" on pistonheads. No mention of awd but claiming 580hp 0-60 of 3.6 secs and 590lb ft torque !!

Audi have messed up. Thats a big gap against a main rival launching at the same time. 3tenths to 60, 35hp, and 80lb ft, and if merc is rwd then it'll be lighter and lose less thru drivetrain than the c7 add to the advantage
pjbRs

Rs7 ?  Pics ? Spec?

As an everyday family car I'd take a new Rs 4 or 6.

The B5 is a great car, but It's small compared to modern cars. That is a problem if you've got a big dog and big family.

I'd still keep my b5 though.
speedfr38ky

Rs7 will be same running.gear as new RS6....it will be the saloon alternative, maybe with a slight tweak in power...possibly.

Sounds excellent.  thumb:
Nudenut

Yes the RS7 is born, can't post pics as he wasn't allowed to take any for obvious reasons... has another step up in power but more so Tq I believe
lynchy

Stunning ! I want !!

Spec one with ceramics and B&O = £105k

Wow, that's a big price for a refined load Lugger to live up too...

Have a feeling it will be a fantastic car though, but Wow !!
Alex@Fontain

Agreed - it's an expensive car but it's the same price (ok, a small amount more) as the competition.

AMG charge 75k for the 2 wheel drive E63 Estate and apparently will bring in the 4 wheel drive version on request. That's going to be 5k if it's a penny.

M5 saloon is 73...
aka_dk

The point is the options are crazy expensive!

£4k for matt paint
£4k for optics pack
Alex@Fontain

Point taken, some of them are a bit 'ouch'.
doodlebug

As said in the other thread, I think the pricing is wrong.  It's a massive premium over the RS4

Love the C6 and C7 RS6, look really aggressive.  Not really feeling the B8 RS4, looks a little too subtle in the metal compared to the B7 and B5's.

I parked my old b5 next to a new megane RS and the Megane was much bigger in every way but body length.  Couldn't believe it, wider track, longer wheelbase, taller. lol

i had the pleasure of driving both the new RS4 and RS6 models at an Audi UK test days before christmas in cheltenham.
One of the perks of taking your S or RS to the stealers.

The RS6 was out of this world, shame i won't be buying one due to the price.
The sports dynamic suspension setting was horrible unless you are on a track, the noise on the upshifts was awesome. Won't help the fuel bill through !
quattro-insider

New Facelift announced yesterday.

'Featuring a range of more powerful and efficient TFSI and TDI engines, the new Audi A6 range is here. As well as an improved infotainment system which uses an ultra-fast Tegra 30 graphics clip, the new look range also includes optional LED or Matrix LED headlights and a refined exterior.'

Looks good, although hard to improve on a already good looking car!
