I pretty much changed every interior, sidelight, number plate light on the b5 to led's,and i'd like to do the same with the B7 but i keep being told about the canbus issues they always seems to throw up fault codes on the dash

Supersi gave me a set of front LED sidelights and the difference in looks is so much better. Si has the LED number plate lights which also looks the business and i believe on the B5 are a straight swap out

I had them in mine years ago,and as you say there a straight fit,its the same ones used in mk4 golfs etc.
Sometimes the end prongs just needed a little tweek to get them to fit snuggly.

Jules there is an alternative for the number plate bulbs to give the LED look.
And shouldn't be any issues with the interior bulbs as long as you use the good quality ones with circuits built into them.

Yeah I have read about a few people that
Have tried them Virdee but most seem
To have had niggles.
Like you say maybe I should try them for
Myself and go for the better quality ones

I'm using the better ones in my 2011 S3 with no issues.
Number plates yes there's an issue. But bought some normal bulbs which give the led effect from USA.

Adam/Jules, I've suspect like on my S5 you'll require Led Error Free Festoons or you'll be plagued by your DIS reporting error/failure of bulb.
Suggest you contact the guys at http://www.alltronix.co.uk They looked after me and prices are good

Holy thread resurrection Batman but have just spoken to Alltronix and they're telling me that interior and licence plate LEDs can't be fitted to a B5 RS4 as it's a "very tricky car which still shows errors after fitting canbus leds".
Double checked they weren't thinking I meant the B7 RS4 and apparently they've had problems with B5, B6 and B7 variants. Hmmm. Confused.
Anyone fitted LEDs to a B5 RS4 before? Did the thing explode in a confetti of error messages?

I'm interested too.
Can you replace all the internal bulbs with LED's too? Has anyone got any links or a list of size/wattage etc for them?
Thanks in advance!
