Plastidip

hi all just thought and ask for a few opinions really.

I've seen a shed load of info on plastidip and dipping your car has anyone had it done or tried it and how did you guys get on ...

just a thought really wasn't sure if anyone has

Ive dipped a mkv golf with eastwood elastiwrap. Came out nice. One thing they dont say though is any drips of fuel when filling up will mark it at least, wash it off at worst. I did the wheels whith the spray wrap stuff from frost, its more expensive and less colours but I think i prefer the finish.

I did my S8 a couple of years ago in Matt grey, I bought the paint and spray kit and me and my mate did it, my mate now does it as a business .
The cost was about 400 for the paint ,the S8 took 7 coats to get it looking right and the spray kit was 595.00.
Since then I have peeled it off I may spray it again this summer in a gloss light blue.

Muscledelivery is right do not spill petrol on as it stains.

I painted a mkv golf 5 door completely with one u.s gallon of elastiwrap, which costs about 70 quid. Elastiwrap is much much higher build than plastidip, so you need alot less to cover. BUT,  I need to apply the second gallon I bought this summer as although its covered and not transparent at all, the coat is thin and would be a nightmare to peel. The thicker the coat the easier to peel. Elastiwrap is also uv stable for like 5 years or something, so im in no hurry to peel though.

Thanks guys very much appreciated .. Just toying with dip or wrap lol ...  To be honest from what I said as long as ya carful with fuel dipping sounds like it works just as well as wrap
