potential purchase!

should be going to look at a Quattro 10 v model soon,it neds a bit of restoration(well a lot!) just been told about it by a friend and not actually seen it yet!are these a good car to be restoring to how they should be or are the later 20v ones the only ones to  look at?always loved the original quattros and only ever dreamed of owning 1

I'm no expert, give Norrs2 a shout though!  I would say any resto will take a LOT of money, but whether 10 or 20v, if done well then you'll have a cracking car worth a few bob.

Will prob depend on how much the car is and how badly rusted it is.

I'm fairly hopefull on a decent price, the lad that's going to be doing the work is a good welder too!

Be carefull....!!!

There is no such thing as a cheap quattro and anything sub 5k is most likely to be a 'parts car'.  If you don't know too much about them, leave your wallet at home and take along someone who really does.

Ur quattro's have cost me over 1/4 million in the last ten years (), so I might know a thing or two about them as well.

I bought a parts car (on the left below), until I discovered that it was well worth saving.  I then sold a B7 RS4 (30k) and used virtually ALL the proceeds to get the quattro looking like it should.

The next one in the line up was my childhood dream and it cost me more than I paid for my house!!

Of course, you should just be more carefull of what you dream about......

It's an E24 Highline.

Someone else saw this picture on Facebook a few months ago and promptly requested a meeting to look at the Beemer.  I told him it wasn't for sale, but he came down to look at it anyway.  He also brought a BMW technician with him.  Next thing I knew, he was passing to me.

Had that car for nearly 20 years, but it was never a love affair like the Audi's are.
