You have to give the shell back after it's stripped. I think they hold a couple of grand until the shell is returned.

So I'd say no to your question.

Ive known of a cat b rs4 being put back on the road!
loomx

Really? only cat c & d can go back to the road, cat b can be stripped, cat a has to be crushed with nothing being reused.

Can you appeal the cat b once fully repaired if up to standard?
loomx

Dont think so, you have to do that for C & D anyway.
loomx

Maybe they cocked up and its a cat D and they pressed the wrong button?

Might be worth a HPI check with the VIN: WUAZZZ4228N

It was a thread a while ago on 246. It was 100% cat b and it was some how put back on the road legally!
ScottR

My guess would be water damage. Seen a few Cat B's which could easily be reshelled for the same reason.

You can Export Cat B's

You need a Breakers license to buy it,
These undamaged Cat B's are very fishy dont really know what the deal is with them
