RS 3 De-cat

Hi guys.
I cam currently looking at changing the Turbo Downpipe  on my RS3. any prefered chocies? Scorpion/ Miltek???

I have noticed that the stock DP is +- 102 mm, then splits into 2 * 60mm pipes with the secondary cats fitted after that, but exhaust manufactures use a 76mm stainless steel pipe to make a single pipe

Have any of you guys changed the DP ? Was it a noticable difference?

Thanks
TootRS

There are not many downpipes available that will mate to the factory catback, only 3 I can think of and they are expensive. A popular way to do it cheaply is to gut your factory downpipe, thus will result in more power/noise at the cost of the labour to remove and refit. If you can source a second hand downpipe this allows for refitting of the cat at a later date as well. Typical power gains with a map and decatted downpipe are around 15PS over a map alone.

Thank Bud.
I am also looking for a second hand Stock DP that I am willing to pay for and ship it back to SA, we only have +- 60 RS3 in the country... not many people want to change the stock DP.
If you know of anyone that would like to sell their stock DP, please let me know.

I see you have your car tuned with MRC...    Nice... how does the car feel after you had it tuned?
