Stage1+ revo

Good evening all

Just thought I would wet the appetite in anticipation of my upgrade this week...  I am really looking forward to seeing what it does on the road,  and how much difference will I see. Any ideas??

It's a pully, air filter and software update

I already have the stage 1 and can tell the difference straight away.  I have seen the YouTube clip, be interesting to see what a stage 1+ would do..

Ahh,if you have the stage 1 already,then the difference won't be that massive! adds a lot more torque the pulley change though

Power is much more responsive,  but the best... The bloody noise..  It sounds like a walkinshaw holden supercharger it's brilliant!!!  Absolutely made up.

It was a sleeper before,  now it's a fast cars nightmare!!! Just ask the Panama driver who tried to flash me out of the way!!!

Good to hear its a big difference,as I had mine done the same time,it was hard to tell how much difference the pulley made!

I agree mate,  it pulls like a train....

But really it's the noise I'm made up with!!!! I have just come back from Oz and loved the v8 noise, I'm not saying it's better than that, far from,  but the noise is certainly a million times better than before.

It really puts the ice on the cake about a sleeper!!!

How long have you (s) had yours for?

I've been 1+ for around 9 months I think.Had to have a new clutch just after mind.
I'm toying with going dual pulley in the future,will need to uprate the chargecooler though

Like me you probably read the report on Audizine from someone who got a S/C cooler leak after going dual so I think uprating has to be considered mandatory!

Indeed I did Dippy,but I have also read of standard cars having the same issue.
But either way I would do cooling first before considering the dual pulley

Indeed these issues do seem to crawl out of the woodwork don't they? First it was reports of s-tronic failure, then it was the crank pulley vibration damper and now it is the supercharger coolers. At least I think with the latter if there is a leak then the ECU should throw a fault code???

They seem to get misfire codes when the heat exchanger in the charger starts to fail.

Why did the clutch go?? I am a firm believer if you drive hard you pay hard... I have had mine nearly 3 years and have only used launch control once, nearly died when I did though!!  Lol

Well I have had no such issues, drive like miss daisy,  but then hold on for full on power...

I would be interested to see what bhp it has now, has anyone had a stage 1+ on a rolling road?

My revo 1+ made 459 bhp at 6500 rpm and 418 ft lbs at 4650 rpm. on a very acurate rolling road!

Since fitted an exhaust and filter,so would be hoping it to be around 470 now

Bloody hell,  that much!!!! I always knew that there was a bit of a different,  but that is alot. It probably explains why I have upset so many cars... S8. BMW m4 to name a few...

Stage 1 + maybe 450bhp???? Huge difference

Is what my 1+ made on the local rollers (apparently accurate ones at that) The guy who did it was very shocked by what she made too.

My MPH on the 1/4 mile is also pretty high (116-117) for a stage 1+.
My ET wasn't so good,but traction was appalling when I went as it was damp & the first of the year at pod.
The best I could manage was a 12.26@116.86

I am going to have to put mine on a rolling road.  I had my work done at demon tweeks but they don't have a rolling road....

How about day to day driving??

I had mine done at tweeks too.
Day to day is fine,no issues TBH,gotta love all that toque from so low down though .MPG is fine so long as ya don't boot it all the time.
If you have an SPS you can run the 100RON file with 3 litres of ethanol in a full tank of tesco99.

To be honest mate its dad's taxi!!  Fast one at that but I am more than happy with the way it pulls now.

I did launch control,  standard once and it made me feel sick.

I then did it Stage1+, with a friend and I pre warned him, well when we stopped he opened the door and threw up..  I felt so sorry for him...

But I have never timed a 0 60 or 0 100.

It must be early 4 and less 10 seconds respectively

What do you all think??

Out of curiosity what colour type is your s4??

Isn't 500 HP with no dyno time (when applying the map), no pulley mods and 98 fuel kind of unrealistic?

Quite possibly,but the map wasn't done at riverside it was done at Demon Tweeks.
Revo stage 1+ is with the pulley mod
The dyno session was months later

Gotcha makes more sense - I was wondering where you found 50 bhp - a dyno discrepancy of 10-20 bhp makes much more sense.

White is quite easy to keep clean as it seems to hide light dirt etc

I had a few codes pop up when I got her,not had any real issues since TBH

After the remap I had a couple of codes pop up,but it has been fine since

I'm not far off now & that was with very poor grip (first dry SANTA pod session this year) on my very first 1/4 mile session ever
I have since fitted an extra chargecooler so my IAT's will be lower than stock meaning I can hold boost/keep timing advanced better as the ECU will have no need to drop either.
Also next year I think I will go dual pulley too

This is Revo's cooling upgrade comparrison.
I put ome together myself as I didn't fancy spending nearly a grand lol



This is mine using a Jaguar XK uprated chargecooler in series with the OE Audi one.
I also altered the OE pump so it is at 100% all the time (it never goes over 50% when controlled by the ECU)This dropped the IAT's by a further 2-2.5 degrees
The below graph shows acceleration through 2nd,3rd & 4th gear

Please note VCDS shows 80% when accelerator is fully depresssed

My car s warranty is up next month.  They have sent me a reminder to take out an extended warranty.  Have I void the warranty now getting 1+? I own the car if that is any difference

Hi mate,good to finally catch up with you.

In theory the moment you tune the warranty in worthless engine & transmission wise.however you can get flashed back
to stock before any warranty work & this is often enough to "get away with it" .

What's flashed back mate? Is that taking all the mods off and putting it back to normal??

Is it worth it?  I don't want to take it out, something happening,  and them saying that they won't fix it???

My stage 2 defenatly made my extended warranty void because my local dealer told me that the warranty company had refused to cover it once they knew it was modded.....

It's a ball ache having it flashed back and forth
I did it once and it failed on something else soon after flashing it back so I gave up.
