TT RS Review

Sounds lovely & a properly fast car. I wonder what the Haldex feels like compared to TorSen though ?

He complains about it not being mad enough and it understeering, yet he also says he didnt turn ESP off... What did he expect?
Graham

Finally the TT gets the power it deserves.

I am not big on coupes but I have always liked the TT, being very tempted with a first generation  225 1.8T, which I viewd as a 260BHP car even before buying a remap wasn't an option it was an essential.

Will be interesting to see what power a remap takes it to, because that is a healthy starting point.

the weight and handling are supposed to be good compared to other VAG. ofcouse the 5 cyl turbo is going to be good too
DavidT

I think it could be comfortably over 400 with an exhaust remap, what about 450
Graham

Certainly going to have to brush up on identifying one model of TT from another at 10 car lengths.

LOL!

Looked good to me on Fifth Gear this week. Always been a bit of a fan of the TT, like the latest generation and now if has the power to match the looks if I could afford one I'd have it. Can't think of any other 2 door or coupe I would say that about, including the R8. For me a tuned TT RS appears more than an R8 easilly. Not many cars I would give second thought to financing, but the RS really does look very nice.

Looks and sounds nice. I'd have one
CliveH

I agree with you both, although the car gets mixed press reviews.  Last month's Performance Car didn't rate it at all, whereas the latest Audi Driver was full of praise (which is to be expected I guess).

Well, I suppose the only thing for it is to go testdrive one...
Graham

You're right, but I think a test drive is something I must avoid! Could be devestating to my finances.

Saw a new TTRS in the flesh the other day in St. Albans and I have to say that I didn't like it. I've actually never really liked any TT, right from the old to the new. There's just something about it that just doesn't gel with me and never has, I don't know why. Sorry TT owners.. I'm such a killjoy..

(Makes hasty retreat whilst ducking from thrown eggs..) BOOO! GET OFF THE STAGE..!!!

Uh-oo... dont know where my reply went - but WOW - the car sounds gorgeous.  Hope the engine makes it into a different chassis... RS3?
