Warning light in dash

The green dipped light indicator in the orange dash panel is flashing on my 20v. I believe it is to indicate that it is dark and I need to put my lights on. When I turn the lights on the indicator light goes out but there is now no indication on the dash that my lights are on. My car is up for mot in the morning and I am looking a quick fix till I find the fault. I suspect it is the light sensor at the side of the dash cover as when it is disconnected I still have the indication it is dark. Any help appreciated.   Brian

I doubt that's a testable item. You "might" get an observation but I doubt it.

Hope so. there is no indication  that the side lights are on. Brian

Are the lights working?

Just been out to mine and I only get the flashing green with no lights on. Then followed by nothing when I have the lights turned on.  The only indication I have then is full beam being blue.

Thanks for that. Passed mot but is the same as yours in that there is no indication on the dash that the dipped lights are on.

There maybe isn't supposed to be an indication!?

I doubt they know what the light is for.

The green light flashes to tell you that you should have your lights on.  The ur doesn't have a lamp to tell you that the lights are actually on, other than beam.
