Win an Audi Driving Experience!

     Win an Audi Driving Experience!

AudiSRS is delighted to announce a competition to win a place on an Audi Driving Experience day on Friday 31st May 2013.

The Audi Driving Experience is always an exciting day for any fan of Audi. It’s your chance to hone your driving skills at Silverstone, the home of the British Grand Prix. You’ll get behind the wheel of the Audi RS 5 with its 450PS, V8 FSI® engine, the Audi TT RS and the incredible R8 V10 Coupé, learning to evaluate risks, recognise dangers – and react to them.

Our experienced instructors will train you in every aspect of car control and safe driving at speed. Techniques you’ll learn include cornering, understeer, ABS braking, high-speed lane changes and avoidance manoeuvres.

You can read more about the Audi Driving Experience days here. http://www.audi.co.uk/about-audi/audi-driving-experiences.html

I went to the first Audi driving experience ever done in the UK, that was a freebie from Audi too. I was only 12 mind you; the C5 RS 6 had come out. I was in an A2 most of the day but went out with instructors in a C5 RS6/B6 S4 etc... Wished I was old enough to drive the 'proper stuff', but was an awesome day anyway, nobody does events like Audi.

Well done HP.

Thanks very much folks, really looking forwards to it.
It's using the Stowe circuit which I've driven before in a number of cars including single-seaters (Formula Renault).

Congrats, supposed to be nice and dry tomorrow too.

...so come on then, what was your speech?

Amazing day out!
Two major differences to other driving experiences I've been on:
1. No helmets required
2. Plenty of opportunities to absolutely cane the cars. They really did want you to thrash them to death.

An R8 V10 Plus at full throttle for several seconds really gets moving!
It also stops PDQ with ceramic brakes and the ESC working overtime.

I managed to "break" an Audi TT RS Plus, I think by overheating the DSG box. But then I did have "Big Dave" as my passenger at the time.

He got his own back by literally "taking me for a spin" in an RS5 Plus.

And I then started to suffer from carsickness as a passenger so gave up early on some of the sessions; Dave got a fair number of extra laps driving on his own without the extra ballast.

How many went from here?

Sounds ace mate. I ve done the two different days and did make my Passenger sick. I also got sore knees from them banging off the footwell surround, doing the slalom in the tt what was your winning phrase?
