Well after an hour of frenzied Engine removal today (Us SW massive  love it you know and look for excuses to take the engines out really), we (Big bad Dave)discovered a pipe had blown off my Mocal Oil cooler. Bollox...

Top tip for all those having them fitted,  please place a jubilee clip on them for safety as I was convinced mine was as tight as a nats nad. Obviously it fcuking wasnt..

This instant failure of the oil system would prob have had a direct hit on my lovely Loba 530's and the heat that they operate at including the fact that I'd been spiretedly driving moments earlier.

Anyway, rebuilt quickly the engine compartment, went for a spin and getting a lot of smoke out the zorst.  Also no Forced induction at all.  Nil registered on the boost gauge.

Looks very much like I have killed all Darios's hard work in providing me some mint turbos, for that I apologise and will be pleading for the same fantastic service as last time.

Loved my Loba 530's as well, great boost and near instant spool up like the K03's and now need another pair I think.  Hopefully Supersi and Loba will help me out and get Suzi back on the road sharpish..

In this instance, there is no definitive way Loba can be blamed as I/we/people may have thought it was a turbo failure but it is very unlikely and 99.9% sure it wasn't and need to make this clear, it was the Loss of oil that caused this I'm sure. a £2 jubilee could have made the difference so top tip gents...

Such rotten luck for you.

Huge credit for taking such bad news so well, though

Good luck (from a Devonian!)

All in all another classic Audi day and achieved most, if not all of what we wanted to. Turbo's sustained Oil starvation when probably white hot and didn't explode, testament to the mechanical efficiency of these babies. One seems okay, the other showing signs of rotational friction and in one part, seizes. Hopefully not to bad to repair.

Boxed up awaiting shipment to Loba and they will hopefully come back ready to rock and roll.

I am convincing myself and the SW massive that we need to pop the heads off, fit new valve stem seals and check over the valves. This will hopefully not only give piece of mind but confirms that Audi make great engines that can live with a minor disaster and live another day.

The shufty scope down the bores looked okay, no signs of any swarf but will pop the sump off and Gaz the bast*ard wants to remove a couple of main bearing shells as a confidence check that all is okay. Cams looked fine by the way and considering she has been over 157k miles, looks pretty mint..

Suzi may live another day yet... Long live the Noggy twins...

She is back in the paint shop in a fortnight, bumper respray again and wings bonnet I think and then getting her SORN'd until, err, err,,,,  maybe I won't, just put her in the garage out of the way.  What happens if we have a visit from the Audi rabble..

Waiting for Kev (Aragorn) or anyone to put up the 2.0T coil pack muppet instructions then Im going to do Suzi. missfire at ADI was annoying and need to fix that before I give her more lead foot.

What an ace car, 7 years ownership now...

If you want a perfect S4, this is the one...

You can have her for £9500 cash, no offers and worth every penny.
