wonderfull to meet Rich in person!
we had a good time and managed to make around 464hp (crank), which is very pleasing!

i bet once i settle some oscillations on the boost which it would be best to do on the road, i may manage to get some more hp, as the power wont oscillate as well!

many thanks Rich for a wonderful morning!!

Vas

Nice work Vas, are you coming to JJB on the 26th?

If you are I'd love a ride out in your car

Hmm, i dont know, as i still have one more thing to do with the car and that is to change the shocks. So ill have to book that on a weekend, and at the moment im waiting from my mechanic to get back to me as to which weekend that will be.

im heading out today to play around with the boost a bit.! Hopefully ill get those oscillations sorted. If not i may end up getting a softer wastegate spring.

It feels quite aggressive and the mid range is brutal.

Unfortunately i have been out trying to tune the boost a bit and i think i have stumbled upon a few niggles, such as my home made wastegate spring being way to stiff, then my N75 valve acting up, thus not being able to get a decent tune on the boost.

As it is quite foggy, i called it a day for now, rested back on the 1.4ish bar, as i have replaced both the spring and the valve.

Ill do more tests throughout the week and get to the bottom of it. No wonder we were getting those oscillations at higher boost!

I have a 4port mac valve to try as well in case it works better. Ill get it going nicely!

Sorry I didn't get to meet you properly on Saturday Vas, your car looked beautiful and if it wasn;t for my nightmare predicament I would have been watching every second of the Rolling Road

Some great power made though, enjoy it.

well, i had some boost problems on the dyno which i set out to correct on my own, as there was not real point doing that on the dyno and heating up the engine, and after 2 days of trying various setups and settings i investigated and realised that my newly rebuilt wastegate was sticking open with the valve scoring the guide.

Apparently the genius doing the rebuilt left so little tolerances that i ended up having the valve sticking open intermittantly and eventualy permanently making no boost whatsoever.

So i have sourced a used wastegate to put on and redo the boost again to make sure that its done properly. Then ill have the full potential of the car's perfomance.
