This was coming along nicely, bought some lovely front ceramics...... turned out they weren't. Still on the hunt for some if anyone knows of any? Got some lovely rear R8 ceramics, they are brand new so Lush 👍🏻 . Had a lovely new shiny gearbox with super polished gears and all the bells and whistles. Gearbox has been stored since it was done, ZERO miles and it's fcuked. Just as well it was checked before install, full report being done by a specialist with pictures etc. I'll post the results here for everyone to read and have an opinion on, would appear that because it was done so long ago it's my problem and no1  else's. The Initial strip down says otherwise but anyway onwards and upwards, borrowed a box and the engine is ready to be installed after a slight delay with the turbos

Nope, more the assembly of the gearbox mate. I'll post all the findings shortly, hopefully won't hold me back too long

I built this box for you over 2.5 years ago.
Nothing wrong with the assembly to the best of my knowledge, and 2.5 years ago I'd have been happy to take another look.....
Especially if you'd ever paid for the delivery, Paul.
See, my memory isn't so bad after all. I do remember sending you several texts at the time but got no response so I gave up and wrote it off.

So this is all a bit of a surprise to me.

I look forward to hearing how I screwed up with the assembly.

Grit has got into the box at some point. It left my workshop clean and sparkling inside. I'm as sure of that as I can be, given it was so long ago.

Hahaha I've said my bit via text message, i hadn't mentioned you..but I'm happy to share it all if you want? Gearbox may have left 2.5 years ago (according to you it was 4) but the fact remains it's unused and the box is a shambles.  Must have been the gearbox fairy that wrecked mines and simons boxes? I'll be sure to get on them for that, pita so they are. You were paid more than enough for your 'hobby' what that hobby is other than wrecking gearboxes is beyond me 👍🏻

Don't worry guys, hyperbole aside, we're having a metaphorical cuddle elsewhere, to sort this.
