Super Jealous of the carbon, Looks Great.

The mud guards you have on there, I have never seen them before. where they with the car when you got it (OEM). Anyone know where you can get them, cos my dealer said you cant get any. Would like them to help prevent stone chipping.

Yes - on the car when I got it. Imagine they are normal A6 ones supplied and fitted by Audi??

It's very different in short.  Not really had much of a chance to test it on my own (always millions of kids in the back), but first impressions are:

- much bigger car which is taking some getting used to.

- faster in straight line and will be silly no doubt when mapped.

- awesome start up noise and 'boom' on full throttle upshifts - gearbox as they all say is a peach, especially with the paddles.

- corners very well for such a big car, and the steering feels meaty, but does not feel as nimble and the 4.

- rides MUCH better than the 4 (my car had PSS9s and H+R Arbs) and the sports suspension plus settings are a joy.

- Thirsty - on a run probably about the same but round town I am in utter denial.

- I found the road noise at speed quite bad on all but the smoothest tarmac. I am putting this down to the 20" conti SC2s presently on the car (a tyre I hate from previous experience).  I am getting the optional 10 spoke 19s and some PS3s which being taller and narrower and softer sidewalls should cure this issue.

- attracts a lot of attention. I think this is down to it being white. I think the optional 19s should help it be more stealthy...

- a few dashboard rattles which I wasn't expecting - will get these sorted as are pretty obvious where they are coming from. Otherwise cabin and toys are exceedingly nice and a huge step up from the 4.

- I haven't fallen in love with this car yet but I am not yet worried about that - map to come and some time on my own with it and we will see, but it's certainly growing on me.

- I still miss the 4 -  mainly because it is such a beautiful and classic car with a wonderful, bonkers for the time, engine - the RS6 will never be in the same league on the beauty front (although it does turn my head), but it may achieve some classic status because it too has a wonderful, bonkers, engine.
