Surprised at the small gains with a new intake and water/meth. Mine gives about an extra 5% peak power when switched on.

Doug told me that my fan and intercooler works so well and that's why I get lower figure with water/meth :/

But I don't know to honest I was expecting 5% increase too with water/meth even if I had 3% increase I would have been happy

It doesnt matter if we ran more boost top end it did not make more power, and because intake temps are so low, with a 12-15 degrees rise, even with WI on it only dropped that 2-3 degrees. If you had less efficient sidemounts or a poor fan on a dyno you would see a bigger difference. And i think it would be silly rto run more boost low down as you are really high on torque already.

The back pressure is stopping it make more power top end, boost control is already rising to force it to make boost top end, so you are above the 2:1 boost/backpressure ratio, so manifolds and bigger downpipes could both help, but for 10-20 extra, you are chasing numbers.

I think you right now I understand that there is no point to run a switchable map.....

So i guess the front mount youve already got is more than adequate to cool the flow of air that these turbos can give. you  must be somewhere around the 400 g/s mark. whats the 2-1 backpressure ratio all about doug ?

i think the fact that you have 500 bhp from a turbo set capable of 600 bhp ? explains why you AIT are low to start with, the turbos are not spinning as fast as they could ?

i would imagine if you changed manifolds and DP's as mentioned the meth would aid a little more ?

He's on the limit of s4 rods as is so why push for more? Also if its been stated the turbos are smaller than the LO530 or similar where's the 600hp figure coming from?

There not 600 capable turbos, he's making great figures for spec of turbos and car.
