You could go down the route of twincharging it, each mitigating the weakness of the other. Just a thought, but would be bloody mental.

I couldn't help but notice TTS's advert in the latest Evo magazine

Is that a realistic power figure that could be had from supercharging an R8 ?

Hi guys, its probably worth noting that the add in evo is more of a pr thing done by one of our overly keen staff. yes the kit should be capable of 1000 bhp+ from a supercharger and airflow point of view but this would certainly NOT be obtainable on stock engine and gearbox and would require major modification and uprating of many parts.
We will be releasing info on the kit in the very near future but the production version will be nothing like 1000bhp, although it will see a substantial gain over the existing rs4 and r8 supercharger kits that are available.

thanks.

Thanks for the info

I did think it was a PR stunt to entice people like me to post asking for details hence getting more exposure

If MRC's past projects/attention to detail is anything to go by then i'm guessing 650bhp is more a realistic figure for a 'basic' bolt-on kit

The B7 TTS kit does 600, doesn’t it? They say the R8 kit shows a substantial gain over the B7, substantial to me is another 100 or so horses, so the V8 R8 one should bang out 700+ horses. We can only speculate…

Hahaha gotta love speculation ! I've seen a sneak peak teaser vid I reckon this kits going to be a corker and very well priced. Having met darrin from tts I know how enthusiastic he is about his designs
