Hopefully...but build weeks and delivery dates are a movable feast in Audiland!

Nice spec, and an impressively early delivery estimate! I'm not expecting mine until end of the year or even Jan '16.

And got to ask, you planning on driving around with the bonnet open to show off your carbon!?

Again, nicely spec'd. Thanks for posting.

Scary how it becomes a £50K car.

Would definitely swap the carbon and red calipers for Super Sports Seats.  They are part electric too.

Would be super stealthy in Floret Silver with the default wheels and brightwork

Had originally spec'd the Super sport seats, but the lack of all electric made me go the other way; call it an age thing.

If the standard seat with electric  had memory (which linked to advanced key) I would have gone for it. But without memory I find electric seats more annoying than manual as they take ages to move!
I find it very odd that the whole A3 range which is one of the newest Audi platforms doesn't have electric memory seats as an option - my Skoda Octavia has it (same platform)!

Within the two ranges, the Octavia is placed very differently to the A3.

So does the configurator not allow you to add the electric option and supersports?

That is dissapointing. I can understand sticking with regular sports seats then.

My "begin construction" date has been confirmed as the 27th of July on Audi's new beta system.

The weird thing is that is also states the front brakes are ceramic "Ceramic brake system at front" and ceramics will not be an option until later on this year.

How do I get to this beta system?

Popped into my dealer yesterday, they have 6 factory confirmed orders and a few more not confirmed yet.
Mine (unbelievably considering the spec!) is the first one in line at BW36 code 10.

TBH I'd rather it came later as I need to sell my current cars! Tho I think come Oct I won't be saying that!

A bit 'cart before the horse', but I actually got to test drive the new RS3 yesterday for 3hrs. Here are my first impressions:-
Well I can confirm that it certainly lived up to my expectations, in terms of performance and straight-line speed. The power delivery is very linear, not as dramatic as the B5 RS4, and very composed. You can cover a lot of ground in a very short space of time. the demonstrator only had 150 miles on the clock and still running-in, so I'm aware that the engine will loosen up over time. The sound from the exhaust is awesome; I spent most of the time with the window down! In the time that I had available I took in some b-roads as well as some motorway driving and was very impressed with the handling, very sure-footed.  Was expecting a lot of under-steer, but that was very minimal. To be honest, I'm one of these people who prefers a bit of under-steer in a road car as it makes it more predictable. In general it was very neutral. Fuel consumption during my test drive was 24.9 mpg, which isn't bad considering that I was driving in a spirited manner most of the time. Overall, was very impressed and very much looking forward for mine to be delivered.
