Yes, they are the same gearbox, so the same price of 2,500+VAT.

This is an awesome price!!!

What would be the cost of this job if the gearbox came to you on a pallet via courier please?!

If push comes to shove, we can do a loose unit box, however the warranty is on condition that a new cooler is put on, and the box is fitted by a reputable garage. If the gearbox fails due to an error during fitting, it leaves is in a bit of a sticky situation as we can't be held liable for the failure

Price for the gearbox is 1,750+VAT

Hi. Thanks for that.

Yeah that goes without saying that you can't warrant an incorrect fitted box, I hope no one would expect that! But that is the same for anything, like a brake disc manufacturer can't be held responsible for a faulty disc that was fitted wrong for example.

If your warranty stipulates a new oil cooler I think that's a good thing as there would be no contaminates to pass into the new box.

P.s. You had one in yet to do the pic heavy rebuild thread?! Would be really interesting!

As counter-intuitive as it seems, yes we do get some customers who expect us to warrant a loose unit or a second hand box that they provided themselves!

You're spot on with the reason for the cooler, there is no point throwing all that time and money at a gearbox, to have the same shit float back in from the old cooler.

And actually, we've not had one in recently to do the pictures. As soon as one comes in we'll get some pictures up!
