ignore this message guys. Looked further into it think I would struggle and it would be too much hassel so I would be better off just making it as clean as I can. Would need a bigger lump in it. 260 is not too bad anyway think I was just kinda spoilt with the B5S4 twin turbo kick which I loved. Maybe should have went for another.

Money is best put into the chassis to make them quick, springs, dampers and anti-roll bars. I loved mine but hated the 20v engine.

^ you can fit one with no further mods, but the Jabbasport heat shield and a K&N cone looks the dogs dangles.

You can make it fit to the standard airbox with some fiddling, but most go for a cone filter - Jetex was the one everyone was using when I had mine.

No other mods required, My s3 was the development car for the first generation 3 inch TIP and hand on heart, bolt gains with no map change was 250 - 270 ish.

I'll see if I can find the thread on ASN

First post details the improvements with a 3 inch TIP:

http://www.audi-sport.net/xf/thre...ts-on-danes-s3-from-today.109356/

The 80mm will be bigger so will flow more air and give better results.

Ps If you order it from Badger 5 he can supply Jetex air filters too.

Thought air filters knackered MAF's on these? Certainly did on mine! I returned to a performance panal filter!

The haldex rear diff controller is a cracking mod! Did it on mine and loved it! Unfortunately wrote it off not long later! (Not diff controller related 😂)

Haldex diff controller shifted the balance of power to the rear as in with later performance quattros certainly worked!

My Jetex was good for about 15K, no new maf required, on a 75K mile car. These were aging cars when I had mine 6 years ago and even more so now, so stuff breaks. I think if someone changed to a brand new bosch MAF just before installing a cone filter and it broke shortly afterwards then chances are they do break MAFs. However if one installed a cone filter on a 100K car with an original MAF and it broke shortly after, whats to say it wasn't on the way out already?
Just an example, not making any assumptions

Not many people opt for the haldex controllers due to the bang for buck. 20 bhp adds a lot more on a 250 bhp car for a couple of hundred quid compared to 500 quid on something that is more difficult to make proper use of everyday.

Haha ten plus years ago when I had my S3 I did see advantages of the haldex most days as I drove like a bloody idiot! See you're point now as a sensible 30+ year old tho!
The MAF info wasn't my assumption it was info passed to me by the tuners at the time! (Still could be wrong obviously)

Glad you you did! I always fancied one but there was always bigger turbos to buy haha.
