Ok, Iíve decided to sell the RS.  I not really 100% sure I want to but canít keep it in the manner that Iíve decided I would want to be able to going forward without a garage.  It's what I've convinced myself of anyway.

Here goesÖ

B5 RS4 in Misano Red, Hi-Tech seats, carbon and sunroof.  Pictures posted today taken on Sunday after a quick wash hereÖ http://audisrs.com/ftopic64627-0-asc-15.php

Mileage as of today 110,132 miles.

First registered 1st Dec 2000, I am the 7th owner and have owned since 20/11/2012.

AZR engine car, standard, had believed mapped, or so I was told when I bought it however a logging session with CJ confirmed stock boost so that claim would seem unlikely.

B7 RS4 brakes fitted front AND rear on 10/09/2013 at 93k miles.  Discs skimmed and pads changed 18/10/2016 at 105k to cure recurring judder issue that I can confirm sorted the issue.  So frustrating!!!

034 Motorsport front control arms fitted at same time as brakes (10/09/13)
Bilstein PSS9ís (B16) fitted 09/08/2014 to replace the then (and awful imo) H&R coilovers.

Supersprint Cat-Back, with straight centre section fitted at same time as B16ís.

044 fuel pump kit fitted 24/03/2015

Cam belt last changed 18/10/2016 at 104,730 miles, this obviously included the water pump and thermostat, but also included the aux belt.

Had a Health Check with CJ December last year that resulted in quite a few bits being sortedÖ

- Replace in-tank fuel sensor (gauge hadnít worked since I bought the car, was told it was the instrument cluster, apparently not!!!)
- Replace split lower intercooler hose
- Replace bank 2 sensor 1 lambda
- Remove and reseal both bi-pipes
- Replace viscous coupling
- Replace N80 valve and 2 one way valves

After which she was code free (other than for a dead alarm battery) and boost leak free.  Confirmed healthy )

Serviced as per the below, I only have complete records with receipts for work carried out in my and the previous owners tenure, prior to that itís stamps in the service book with a few rogue invoices but this was all Audi apart from being with Nick Johnson for a couple of services (also stamped).

19/01/2001 11,520 Service Audi Wakefield
27/03/2002 20,833 Service Audi Wakefield
29/09/2002 30,217 Service Audi Wakefield
16/07/2003 40,000 Service Audi Franklin Leeds - CAM BELT
30/04/2004 49,129 Service Audi Beechwood Halesowen
24/06/2005 57,072 Service Audi Beechwood Halesowen
27/01/2007 62,215 Service Audi Stoke Hanley
24/10/2008 65,539 Service Audi Stoke Trentham Lakes
20/10/2009 67,210 Service Nick Johnson - CAM BELT
16/09/2010 69,861 Service Nick Johnson
10/06/2011 73,364 Service Chevron Motorsport
11/07/2011 Service Chevron Motorsport - CAMBELT Cambelt/Water pump confirmed completed with Chevron
02/06/2012 82,934 Service Chevron Motorsport
11/05/2013 91,102 Service Chevron Motorsport
09/08/2014 97,434 Service Chevron Motorsport
08/09/2015 101,413 Service Chevron Motorsport
10/12/2015 101,586 Service Chevron Motorsport Additional service items - Fuel filter and spark plugs
18/10/2016 104,730 Service Chevron Motorsport - CAM BELT Full cambelt service to include water pump, thermostat, aux belt

There have obviously been other repairs/bits done along the way which I have all the receipts for and logged on a spreadsheet.

One thing that I have just had done is the DIS panel repaired by Jason using a brand new OEM screen, so much better!!!

Tyres, had 2 new Goodyear Eagle F1 AS3ís on the rear (Mar í17 @ 106,876 miles), previous rears moved to the front which are Yokohama Advan V105S and have plenty of tread left having done 8,500 on the rear prior to rotating them.

On the car currently is 3 hard and 1 soft alloy.  The soft was on there when I bought it and runs straight and true but after a curb incident while taking some avoiding action I damaged a wheel so bought 2 more hard off ebay, one in great condition the other with a few minor scrapes no worse than the originals on the car.  So I also have the badly scraped alloy that I think is just superficial and another decent hard wheel.  So 6 in total, 5 hard, 1 soft.

Bad bits
I believe in 100% honesty, but then I have also been told I make things sound worse than they are as I judge everything against perfection, not the car of 17 years and 100k+ miles that it is.  Close-up pictures can be provided but I would recommend viewing in person as everyone sees things differently.

Paint/Body
When I purchased the car the paintwork was pretty much immaculate short of the usual rubbing on the bottom of the rear doors, which I had sorted when I had a nasty stone chip also attended to on one of the rear arches.  However in March last year I had an old school friend do a minor paint correction detail on the car and this revealed that a few bits werenít so great after four years.  Turns out the bonnet had been repainted, badly, and Ďcrazedí during/after the correction.  Fast forward 18 months since then and some patches of paint have peeled away completely leaving a Ďmattí finish underneath.  It really needs taking back to metal and fully building back up.

The sills have never really Ďshoneí like the metalwork and the front bumper is heavily stone chipped, has some scuffing underneath and also a minor crack right underneath on the rear edge that youíd be hard pushed to see unless up in the air on ramps (both from running round too low on the H&Rís previously).   Also the rear bumper has some pitting on the top edge below the boot.

One of the front wings has some lacquer peel on the bottom edge behind the wheel and could do with some attention to the beginnings of the paint lifting where stones have chipped the inside edge.

I have had a quote to have all this sorted to a high standard, not the standards adhered to previously and it stands at £2,150 dependent on ease of sill/bumper/bonnet removal and re-fitment etc.  This together with refurbing the alloys would put the bodywork back to an excellent condition and something I think would then deserve to live a more sheltered life, hence the sale.  Maybe you could get it done cheaper, maybe upon viewing you donít think itís too bad and would be happy as is, either way Iíve decided to sell in the condition itís in to allow any potential new owner to make that decision.

Other bits
Alcantara steering wheel needs recovering to return it to its former glory, but to keep it that way youíll be best wearing gloves, I know another SRSíer who does, but I just couldnít bring myself to do that and had considered swapping to a leather wheel (donít think car was specced with the alcantara anyway).

Air-con needs re-gassing.  Lost its mojo when turning on this year but I really hardly ever use it.

Undertray no longer fitted, garage finally gave up trying to fit what was left of it at last service.

Some minor wear to the driverís seat bolster.

Front lower grill needs reseating and fixing into place properly.

Front screen has two chips but neither are an MOT fail, screen people just Ďrepairedí.  Looks crap in my opinion, just wanted a new screen.

Will need a service in about October, MOT is due at end of September.  Only advisories on the last MOT were the stone chips to screen and a Ďnailí in the tyre that wasnít, just a bit of metal in the tread groove.

So, wow, Iíve really gone on a bit.  Price hasnít been easy to come by as they seem to be all over the place at the minute but Iíve decided on

£16,500

This is based on what I believe the car to be worth with the paint/wheels sorted less the cost of getting it done, less a little bit more.  Some will say itís too much Iím sure but thatís the price and its firm.  I may well end up getting it done myself, who knows, weíll see how it goes.

Anyone genuinely interested please PM me in the first instance and I can answer questions, provide more in info/pictures, have a chat, arrange a meet up/viewing etc.

Thanks
Dave

Not sure where I'm going next just yet to be honest.  Fancy something that handles that I'm willing to throw at the track.

I won't ask how much that was for. Don't think I'd be taking a penny less as it's cheap as is.

Completely agree with all of this although I prefer to say "competitively priced"   never like the word cheap

And what price does a "spot on" B5 RS4 command?

It's not been advertised as spot on, he's listed all the problems and issues and priced it accordingly. What's the point in your post?

I think it's competitively priced according to the market and won't hang around! Very few cars are south of 18k now...

Glws!
