eBay will get you the wider audience and surely the higher price even after any fees. It will go to an enthusiast either way I would have thought.

Start low so I can at least have a go anyway!

Quote from ebay 'Donate between 10% and 100% of your sale to charity and eBay will give you a credit on basic selling fees for sold items'

Listing soon...

On eBay the identity of the bidders/winner will be kept anonymous. That's something I can't easily do on here.

Done my bit and got it up to £200 Just read the conditions of sale too. Looks like 10% of the final sale price will be taken by ebay

Items sold by charities on eBay
MissionFish makes no deduction from any listings made by charities themselves (“direct selling”), and does not charge charities any fees for using eBay for Charity.

Cash donations
MissionFish make an all-inclusive deduction of 5p on £1 cash donations made through eBay checkout. There are no additional deductions, such as processing charges or VAT, and no charge to the charities involved. 95p from each £1 donation reaches the chosen charity.

Donations from eBay sellers
When eBay sellers donate the proceeds of a sale, MissionFish’s deduction is based on the size of the donation, and reflects the greater costs involved. The percentage deducted gets smaller as the donation gets bigger. On average, MissionFish takes less than 15% of each donation. For large donations, the deduction can be as low as 3%.

If the donation is... The MissionFish deduction is...*
£2 - £9.99  20% of the donation
£10 - £99.99  15% of the donation above £10
+
£2 from the first £9.99 donated
£100 - £999.99  10% of the donation above £100
+
£15.50 from the first £99.99 donated
£1,000 and more 5%* of the donation above £1,000
+
£105.50 from the first £999.99 donated

*MissionFish only deducts 3% of donations above £1,000 when you make your donation by Banker's Draft or BACS transfer.

@ £250 now

AudiSRS would like to add that we will cover the eBay MissionFish charges so the full value of the winning bid will reach the charity.
