Just say no......

On the plus side at least its a turbo petrol, but how long before they bang out a diesel RS?

As has been said before the RS moniker is just a trim badge these days - some on great cars, some good, some downright poor/pointless

What do people think it will do for the "RS" image?

I think it has now been ruined forever.

How will affect "the few true RS cars" values?

I think of it as a kind of latter day Subaru Forrester STi. Fast and fun to drive, room for a couple of Labradors, and some off-road capability which is useful when you live out in the sticks.

Probably true, but a 2.5T Q3 badge would be more appropriate for the model

Love it, bring it on baby!

Granted it won't have the presence of any 'RS', but few of them do since the dilution of the spicy Audi's with S-Line trim.

I bet it goes well, stops well and handles well, for a Q3.

The S-line IMHO was a good move by Audi to boost sales so the "average Joe" can have a bit more presence and appeal (to those not in the know), but the RS badge should not belong to an SUV.

Period.

That's exactly what the school run mums around here will love. They can't drive their bl**dy buses as they are, let alone given 305bhp. They'll leave it even later to leave home and just drive even faster.
