Announced in autocar this week, the S3 is now available as a sportback model as part of a mid-life facelift for the A3 range.
The S3 sportback reaches 62mph in 5.8secs, just 0.1sec slower than the its smaller brother. It uses the same 261bhp 2litre engine and quattro four-wheel drive.
On sale this summer. |

should be a good seller... but I recon the B5 rs4 engine would be ace in a car of this size... see how long it is before Kim Collins does an example... he did it with the last S3 with RS4 B5 running mechs. |

They are rapid little cars even with a remap, an RS4 lump would be insane (in a good way) |

i had a look at one in camberly audi . its a little bit bigger inside then the b5 rs4 ,the s3 sportback i looked at had the bucket seats in silk nappa leather, flat bottom steering wheel and a few more extras total £35k but it did look nice . if they done a rs3 i would snap it up no question |

£35k for a S3!
There are several RS6 (C5) for less than £20k, and loads of RS4 (B7) for less than £30k!
Definitely not for me.....especially in the current climate

IIRC Dialynx are putting a B5 RS4 engine in a TT  |

Been done by them all ready called the bullet they do the conversion for £21k IIRC |
