yes Ian, came off rollers and checked car over, id replaced all clips month before and 1 had failed and fell apart, replaced the clip and car felt stronger


but i still suspect probs as torque is up but HP down as well as boost  .... maybe N75

in may when mapped 485hp and about 485-490ft lbs

It's taken a while, as I wanted to plot my run with a 50/50 Water/Meth mix against no injection.

End result was around 5% peak power difference. Red line is with, green line is without. Not bad going I think for a car not running huge boost (the bigger the boost, I imagine the bigger the benefit of the water/meth injection). What is interesting is a slight drop in peak torque on the water/meth run, so I perhaps need it to come on at a slightly higher pressure. But good to see the numbers matching what my butt dyno has been telling me since the install.


The power figure I got this time without water/meth was approx 10 bhp down on a previous visit to Dyno Demon with my old pre-tweaked map.


Yet another big thanks to Grizz, all the team at Dyno Demon and my fellow SRS'ers for making it a fantastic meet. Sorry I didn't get down there a little earlier.

the drop in torque may be because your mixture may be getting too rich witht the meth OR due to quenching(too much water).

do you have the AFR graph as well? what does it show?

overall i would say that even with the same boost outdoors and not on the dyno you would be even better with the meth, as temperatures on the dyno are always going to be higher than outside on the road.

as a comparison, i made 463hp (368whp) on that same dyno and had 32C IAT at the end of the run and about 18.5deg of timing (without meth)

On my runs out on the road, i have about 20.5deg of timing and about similar boost,  maybe about 0.1bar more and im reaching almost 394whp, but the IAT is 18-20C at the end of the run.
EGTs are the same, and boost is tweaked on the mid range and towards the 6000rpm to be a bit higher as we couldnt expect that to be better on the dyno due to a wastegate problem. However, the IAT and timing will always improve the power levels, so id expect better results on the road.
