QST are now offering a repair option for the RS6 C5 gearbox. With an exchange gearbox from Audi costing over 3500 bringing a total bill to over 5100 plus vat it was clear an alternative had to be found. We now have a specialist company whould can repair your original box at a fraction of the price. Cost for repair, parts & labour is under 3500 + vat with a free courtesy car subject to availability. Turn around time is approx 1 week.

Most C5 RS6 owners want a bulletproof gearbox, better then OEM. Talk to me.

About 4-5000 depending

I would really be interested if someone came on and actually said they said they could seriously strengthen the original gearbox rathervthan just replacing the chocolate one

Did these cars get to the US?
Always used to be companies over there  (B&M spring to mind)who could bullit proof trannys for use on drag strips etc and probably more torque than one could ever get out of a C6.
Last time I called in at VAGTech late last year they had two on the ramps for new boxes......

what is it that goes on the rs6? the torque converter or the gearbox?

Because I have seen people run modified torque converters on other cars so why can't you run it on a rs6?

this is the only reason that puts me of a rs6 is the gearbox. Otherwise it to invest to go manual but just don't have the time to waste on that.

Think the US have more upgrade options for the c5 box. Cheap ones I think were about $3,000+
Bambam knows more on this.

Torque convertor and clutch packs. Guy on RS246 has just sent his gearbox off to Level 10 in the US for bulletproofing.
