D4's are coming down, I've seen them (S8's) around 30K.

My first D2 S8 cost me over 20K (many many years ago) and was about 3 years old at the time; it was a cracker with a "hyper" options list and a list price of almost 80K back in '98   . Graham actually remembers it which surprised me!

S8 d4's are depreciating very fast, expecially the pre-facelift ones...

RS6's however...they seem to keep their value somewhat better.

On a side note:  I am very interested how the RS6 will compare against the upcoming RS3 saloon...

Offcourse it's another model but it's also half the price...

Just had a great weekend with back to back lengthy test drives of the latest RS6 and S8 on "interesting" (empty) roads in rural Wales.

The D4 S8 is very fast, but the C7 RS6 in comparison I'd just describe as downright brutal with everything set to "11".

Drove back home today (about 300 miles in total) in my D2 S8 which was significantly slower, but more than adequate (to put it mildly) and a much nicer place to be for a long drive than either of the newer models.

I have a longer test drive planned at the end of the month and should be able to get a much better impression.  Off down to Goodwood for the FOS in a C7, so about 400 miles more than I managed in my first drive.
