Too early I expect but has anyone seen any tuning options released for the 4.0 V8 TFSI?

Audi figures for the RS6 are 560PS and 700Nm, but I am more curious to know what can be achieved from the S6 which Audi quote at 420PS and 500Nm. The C7 is the first S6 with any real tuning potential (if I am not mistaken) so watching closely.

I am guessing there are turbo differences between the two as well as other variations over software.  I am guessing 500+ PS from a remap for the S6?

I also wonder how the differing gearboxes (the S has the 7 speed s-tronic and the RS an 8 speed tiptronic) will affect tuning or compare between tuned cars. I assume the s-tronic was not used on the RS due to torque limits?

S6 does 520 PS with a map, S8 does around 600 something (done 2 but not dyno) and as for the RS6, we have one on the dyno this week

I saw that MTM or ABT can retune the S6 engine for some 3-5000 EUR from 420 CP to 560 CP, which is the level of power of the stock RS6. So I am thinking there is an idea to get an S6 and retune it, getting to RS6 levels of power with some nice savings (in excess of 25,000 EUR). What do you think about that?

I'd much rather spend 750 - 1000 pounds sterling at MRC and achieve 520 PS than spend 3000 - 5000 Euros achieving 560 PS

@Ian_C: I agree, but MRC is not available all arround Europe and is not providing the kind of guarantee that Abt for example offers.

@colicabcadam: I understand your point, but already 550-600 HP seems more than enough from my point of view. And I don't like the in line race.

Thread revival! Looks like MRC can bolt on the RS6 turbochargers and remap to suit with minimal effort. The S-Tronic gearbox seems to be able to cope:
