Agree G1 / G2 from Gtechniq (http://www.theultimatefinish.co.uk/gtechniq/clearvision-screen-kit.aspx) is great stuff. It's all about preperation though but I had mine on my previous car for 16 months (10k miles) and it was still beading nicely.

Only works when about 50mph though, but great stuff!

BTW don't put any products on if your screen is in direct sunlight!

I stoooooopidly moved my daily slag into the sunlight to help the product dry quicker to buff off.

BIG MISTAKE

Majoy blurrey screen at 5am on the M5 , not welcome!

Keep the glass as cool as poss for best results

Had a good scrub on the screen today with some good old petrol to remove it

Get yourself a small bottle of Barkeepers Friend, add a small amount to a damp cloth, rub it in circular motion on the glass.
When it's dry buff it off, it should get the glass back to standard.

I have used RainX for years, never had any issue with it.. apply with tissue, wipe with damp chamois and buff with micro fibre... lasts for months and no residue to speak off,, starts clearing the water off the screen at anything over 40mpg and just beads anything under that leaving the view without wipers acceptable

Not used Rain-x coatings, but I do use PIAA Silicone Wipers which work in a very similar way. Really rate them, and no bother with having to apply coatings.
