As the heading says has anyone put an S4 B5 2.7 ENGINE into a S3 8L.

I think QST built one a while back.

it used to eat front driveshafts iirc.

If you're thinking of the yellow RS-engined TT that Audi built I'm pretty sure it used a shortened RS4 chassis and all the associated running gear with the TT 'shell' on top.

Think your right, I believe  it was what was going to be the R8 until  they scrapped  the idea and came up with the R8
