Has anyone got any first hand experiences to share regards nano / hydrophobic paint coatings? Either the application of them, or thoughts on a particular product you have had applied?

I have been looking at the Carbon Collective range but am open to recommendation.

I am tempted to have a go at application myself. I would likely buy whatever applicator the supplier advises. From what I gather starting with a clean car it needs to be clayed, rinsed and dried. Then each panel wiped with some sort of cleanser, before the coating applied then wiped off. I've seen few video of the process and it looks manageable.

Any advice or input?

Good call, but surely not a good plan for the paint coatings. Correctly applied they bond and become the top layer, lasting 1-2 years! You would not want to dabble or mix and match with that.

It's because of the permanent nature of these (in the short to medium term anyway) I am a little hesitant.

Carbon Collective have products I like but I am not inclined to choose them now based on their poor pre-sales service.

So back to the research.
